It's a big pot of soup. It's very good except for the can taste.

A squeeze of fresh lemon juice or a dash of something acidic like vinegar can help to brighten the flavors of the soup. Salt and pepper are always good additions if you feel the soup could use some seasonings. Fresh herbs can also add an herbal note and freshness to the soup. Adding in fresh chopped veggies can also help to freshen the flavors.

Do you have meat in it? You could add some meat to add a better flavor. You could also strain off some of the broth and add your own homemade stock. Add an onion. Chopped tomatoes. Have you ever added cabbage to your soup? My mom taught me this with vegetable beef soup and it's really good. I can honestly say I've never made a soup by adding ingredients from a can with the exception of a few cans of corn, beans and peas in the veggie soup, (everything else was fresh) but I never had the problem you're experiencing.

Throw it out and call the soup company. Maybe they'll ask for the batch #.

If it tastes/smells like can, that sort of means that some part of it dissolved/reacted in the soup.
Dont trust it dude.

If you mean a metallic taste, this could be dangerous.
Perhaps the cans were left open, or they're expired.
If you mean that it's bland, like canned vegetables,
you need some flavouring (flavinoids).
Start with a bouillon cube, some onions, carrots, & celery.
You can also add Bay leaves, pepper-corns, etc.
