I saw them on an infomercial a while ago, and I'm not sure how to describe them, other than you put them on like regular rubber gloves, then you run your hands all over the potato (or other fruit), and it peels it! It's not on asseenontv.com, I've checked there. Any help would be great!

I found this really good looking recipe for biscuits. This is my first attempt to make them. I was wondering if I can substitute the self-rising flour for all-purpose flour. Is it a major change? Will it taste differently?

INGREDIENTS
2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup milk
6 tablespoons mayonnaise
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a large bowl, stir together flour, milk, and mayonnaise until just blended. Drop by spoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake for 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.

That's the recipe. If anyone can give me pointers or tips since it's my first time making biscuits, I'll greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

I'm going to be cooking a duck next weekend and am looking for a good citrus marinade/brine to flavor the duck. If you have any suggestions or even a good recipe, I'd greatly appreciate the input. Also, what kind of side dishes go with duck? Thanks, everyone!

ive tried to make fried rice the same way as chinese restaraunts do several times.. i used a wok, peanut oil, fried cold rice on the outside, fried eggs and added veggies. etc. and even aded soy sauce but it never tastes the same!

the chinese restaraunt always tastes better..i am vegetarain so i try to make my own meat-free rice but im wondering is the meat juice what makes their rice taste better? i noticed their rice is more yellowish too. mine always comes out brown. or is it the msg they add that makes a big difference?

actually, it cant be the meat that adds flavor because ive had rice without meat in it, it tasted just as good as the pork or shrimp rice. so what is the secret??

I decided to make teriyaki and soy sauce smothered pork chops. I began so early by making the marinade and placing the pork chops in the marinade and into the fridge. I just remembered another recipe, I really want to make instead. It concludes of Coca Cola, brown sugar, and ketchup. Is it too late to take the chops out of the soy & teriyaki sauce? Will it taste weird when cooked? It's been sitting in there for an hour.

Made meatloaf over the weekend, so that's out.
I was thinking about meatballs with cream of mushroom soup over egg noodles, but that's getting old.

The official name of the receipe is Caribbean Corn and Crab Chowder. It is not a thick like chowder normally is, rather it has a broth base with a little kick. I have used several search engines to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
