In the grocery store, in the baking aisle, near the brownie mix, you will find Nestle Chocolate Mousse (powder). Replace some of the milk with either Kahlua or Godiva Caramel (I usually replace a little less than 1/3 of the milk with liqueur, which ends up being about 1/2 of the nipper bottle). Rich, delicious, and relatively low in fat/calories *use skim milk, the liqueur will replace the thickness lost by not using whole fat milk*. Elegant, simple, inexpensive, and oh so easy.

here is a family recipe that my great grandparents brought over to the US from Poland. Our family makes these cookies during the holidays. Everyone who eats them absolutely loves them. Cream in a mixer:1 cup crisco, 1 cup margarine and 3/4 c sugar Add 3 eggs slowly combine 4 cup flour, 2 tsp baking powder & 1/2 tsp salt. Slowly add to other ingredients. add 1 tsp anise flavoring Refrigerate(this is important, sometimes we will even refrigerate the dough overnight and bake the next day) roll out and cut with cookie cutters Bake 350 for 10-12 min ———— let them cool, and then add the icing. Here's how to make the icing(very simple, and this there is no real recipe to followl) take some powdered sugar, maybe a cup or so add a bit of milk and stir so it is a semi-thick consistency. Don't want it too watery. Then add a capful of anise extract ———— after icing and while still wet, we get some sugar and put it in a ziplock bag. Add a few drops of food coloring. Squish the bag so the color blends evenly in the sugar. Pour the sugar into a bowl, and then dip the iced cookies in the sugar. We do several different colors.... red, green, blue, and yellow. You can dip the cookies into more than one bowl to get some neat effects. I hope you enjoy this recipe like my family and friends do.

Panna Cotta
1 envelope unflavored gelatin (about 1 tablespoon)
2 tablespoons cold water
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup half and half
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

In a very small saucepan sprinkle gelatin over water and let stand about 1 minute to soften. Heat gelatin mixture over low heat until gelatin is dissolved and remove pan from heat.
In a large saucepan bring cream, half and half, and sugar just to a boil over moderately high heat, stirring. Remove pan from heat and stir in gelatin mixture and vanilla. Divide cream mixture among eight 1/2-cup ramekins and cool to room temperature. Chill ramekins, covered, at least 4 hours or overnight.

Dip ramekins, 1 at a time, into a bowl of hot water 3 seconds. Run a thin knife around edge of each ramekin and invert ramekin onto center of a small plate.

This stuff is delicious! You can use 1/2 and 1/2 or milk to reduce calories more.

Oh add fresh berries on top too! Great contrast and taste.

How about make some low calorie lime jello, let it set.

THEN, get a hand mixer out and slowly beat it together with

vanilla flavored cool whip. If you want, you can pour it into

small individual size graham cracker crust. Also, you could

sprinkle graham cracker bits on top. Refrigerate overnight before

serving. You could mix in fruits if you want!!

One of our favorites is just Sara Lee pound cake, thawed and sliced, topped with fresh strawberries, sliced and sugared, and Cool Whip. For lower calories use fat-free Cool Whip and angelfood cake, and leave the sugar off the berries.

One Tub of Low Fat Cool Whip
One Pkg of Sugar-Free Lemon Jello
Mix well
Add a lg can of fruit cocktail - in it's own juices, not syrup (drained WELL)
Mix well - add sprig of mint for decoration

NOTE: If you want it sweeter - change flavor of jello & add colored mini marshmallows (not low calorie w/marsh.)
