they are in the onion family and alot of people also call them green onions you would find them in the fresh produce department they are good milder than onions

Scallions are also known as green onions. You should be able to find near the spinach and parsley.

scallions are spring onions and it depends on what part of the country you live in. My mother was born in South Shields and she called them scallions. I was born in Cheshire and we call them spring onions

scallions are greens that taste like onions they look a little like daffoil shoots but they definately put out the onion odor you may substitue them with normal onions if you would like they are usually used for there color in salads and soups and such also for garnish
