My mother used to make them and they only have 5 ingredients. butter, vanilla, powdered sugar, flour and pecans. You roll them in a log or a ball and bake, cool, then roll in powdered sugar

I have some frozen raspberries and basic ingredients on hand. I don't have an electric mixer, so the recipe needs to work for hand-mixing. I don't have sour cream or buttermilk on hand which some nice-sounding recipes called for, and I don't like yogurt. Can I simply replace raspberries for blueberries in such recipes?

I'm getting ready to try a recipe from Curtis (the take home chef)
it's an apple tart. He says to put ingredients in a high sided copper pan. If I don't want to spend the money for this type of pan can i use a regular single layer cake pan? Does the metal in copper somehow do something different to the apples to make it better?

Never used one before so am looking for a basic recipe to try it out tommorow. I would like to make great pasta and the sauce or filling can be simple until I get the hang of it.

It does sheets, spaghetti and tagillatelli.

Cheers

I plan to make decorated white chocolate sleighs for Christmas dessert. The sleighs when completed, serve as fancy chocolate dessert cups. This begs the question, what should I put in the dessert cups?

I can flavor the white chocolate to match the recipe. The sleighs/ cups have to be white chocolate for decorative purposes, so milk or dark chocolate is not an option.

The sleighs/cups are individual servings, holding a little more than a cup.

Of note, my sister hates nuts, my father hates cream cheese. Both will be at dinner.

Please, be as specific as possible. Include recipes or link to recipe if avialable.

Thanks for your help. Merry Christmas.
