I needed ground cloves for a pumpkin pie recipe and the store didn't have it, so I already had whole cloves. I thought that if I ground them up in my coffee grinder real fine that would do the trick. It worked great for the recipe, but it left a resin inside my coffee grinder lid. It doesn't come off when soaked in hot, soapy water. Does anyone know how to remove it without using turpentine or some other toxic chemical?

Its the best thing we've bought in years - We are juicing stuff every day. They say you should eat around 5 portions of fruit and veg every day. Some people find it hard eating lots of fruit and veg raw including me - so now we just blast everything in the juicer. We put in carrots/celery/peppers/tomatoes/garlic/chillies in various proportions. Havent done much fruit yet. Theres no need to peel hardly any of it. With the left over fibres and pulp you can add it to stews and soups.Just think of all that goodness not going to waste!! Any quick recipes would be appreciated. Thanks

We just got a stand alone freezer a week and a half ago and promptly stocked it with meat. We bought a 2.5-3lb beef roast last Saturday and froze it. I put it in the fridge Thursday thinking I would cook it yesterday, but we got busy and I'm cooking it today instead. I got it out though and it has a funny smell. It doesn't really register with me as a bad meat smell, but I could be wrong. It's not a strong smell. Do you think that roast could have gone bad given what we have done with it? I'm going to roast it for about 3 hours. Would you be worried about it?
