I am planning on making Indian fry bread one night this week for dinner. Is it healthier to substitute whole wheat flour instead of the regular stuff (would it make any difference)?

My second question is this: I don't have a deep fryer but a small frying pan I use to make grilled cheese sandwiches. Can I use that instead?

I have been making my own egg nog for years. But now I'm afraid to make it because I'm hearing so much about not using raw eggs. Someone told me that if you take raw eggs and drop them into boiling water for 7 seconds that it will make them safe to use. Does anyone know for a fact that this is true? Or does anyone know any other methods of making them safe to use?

Anyone have a good recipe for strawberry pie? I don't bake much, so maybe this is a no brainer to most but to me i can't find a recipe. You know the pie made with just real strawberries!

I am looking for a pie that deals with granny smith apples. I have the dough already made. Anything you can offer, other than peeling and de-coring the apple, I would greatly appreciate it!

I ate this bread in a restaurant once. It was like a flat(ish) circular bread, very crispy and had these bubble type things on it from where the heat rose them. But the bread was flat.

Could any bread expert please tell me the name of this bread. Its not Nan bread, and the restaurant was more italian than anything else.

Cheers.
