It depends on individual taste. I like semi-sweet. Something about the saltiness of the pretzel and the sweetness of the chocolate make for some yummy goodness!

I think MILK chocolate is the best. Ghirardelli works GREAT for this. Make sure to temper your chocolate correctly, or it will never set up on the pretzels! ;)

I like *** it depends on the kind of chocolate you like ***
* milk chocolate
* white chocolate
* semi-sweet dark chocolate
So if you are thinking on making them for a get together I would do all kinds of different kinds of chocolate and toppings like almonds, peanuts, toasted coconuts, pistachios etc.

I prefer bittersweet. And as others have said, don't forget to temper the chocolate with a little butter or oil.

I would say, use the chocolate that you would eat alone. For instance, since I like white chocolate, I would use that, and then I would drizzle it with some milk chocolate. Just make something that you would eat yourself.
