We like chocolate, Cheesecake, Strawberries, and coconut. We love all of these. Umm..And we like pecans and almonds. Also cookies and fugde. So if anyone can give me some quick tips or recipes that would be great. Thanks

Southern Buttered Pecans.....Take 1 stick butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 - 1/2 cup water, cinnamon & nutmeg to taste....Melt all over medium heat then stir in 1 - 1 1/2 cups pecans, a little at a time til coated. Layer on wax-paper lined baking sheet & bake @ 300 for about 20 - 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes or so.....Store in air-tight container & give out to all your friends!!!

Vanishing Oatmeal Raisin Cookies are an excellent Christmas treat
Recipe
1 cup (2 sticks) margarine
or butter softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla
11/2 cups of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of salt (optional)
3 cups of Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned uncooked)
1 cup raisins

1. heat oven to 350 F
2. Beat together margarine and sugars until creamy
3. add eggs and vanilla beat well
4.add combined flour baking soda cinnamon and salt mix well
5. stir in oats and raisins mix well
6. drop by round tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet
7.bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown
8. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet remove from wire rack
makes about 4 dozen
Bar Cookies
bake to 30 to 35 minutes in ungreased 13 by 9 inch metal baking pan

This is the best site I found for cooking/baking. I'm making rum balls because you can have nuts, chocolate and coconut.
Also you can you rum flavoring in place of real rum for those who prefer non-alcoloic.
Just use a basic recipe (all are quick and simple) and add the coconut!

cheese cake bites make little cheese cake bites in cup cake tin place nila cookie then cream cheese mixture that was blended with sugar and cool whip and put on top and then add cherries and u refridgerate 4 hours and ur good

cream cheese and celery sticks make great holiday treats
celery
cream cheese
olives
paprika
mix creamcheese with chopped olives load it on the celery stick and sprinkle paprika
has all holiday colors in it

PARTY MIX IS GOOD TOO MADE WITH CEREAL AND PUPPY CHOW IS GOOD BUT MESSY WITH THE POWDERED SUGAR.
