I never baked in the US before, I always baked cookies at sea level. The first batch I used "I can't believe it's not butter." I should have look if I can use it with baking, but I didn't because where I used to bake cookies there is about one kind of butter and margrine in the store and you can use them for baking. Those turned out tasting like butter milk.

The secound batch I used "Blue Bonnet." I ended up with a lot of flour in it and tastless. Both batch looks fine, but doesn't taste like cookies at ALL!
This is the recipe I used:
2c. butter
3/4c. sugar
1egg
1/2tsp vanilla
1tbs cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder

I don't know how much flour I used since I added a bit more than the recipe said. It seems like it's always wet even though I put in the amout the recipe says.
350F
So what did I do wrong?
Give me suggestions or something please!

My mom made these fried potatoes but she said she boiled them first... I cant get ahold of her, but i want to make them. Does anyone know what Im talking about.. I think she boiled them and then fried them.. and i believe they had the skin still on... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate when people do this but I'll risk the violation. Tis the season for crocking. While you're doing this for future referance stick a thremometer in your cooking product and take a reading, then you can take a Sharpie/MarksAlot and put the readings on area around the knob at the different settings. Please, nothing nasty like menudo or tripe or gross things. Some thing simple that does not have pork or potatoes. The only considered meates are beef or chicken. No legs, wings or thighs.
