I'd like my cookies to be more chewy like Mrs Field's cookies. But mine always end up just crunchy. What should I add to my cookies to give them the chewy texture?

Please give me oven temps and timings too. I have a recipe, but since the recipe didn't provide those details, it ended up being burnt on the outside, but fabulous on the inside. I am looking for a black or dark brown colored fruitcake

I have a lot of egg roll wrappers, and i want wonton wrappers. Are they the same material at all? Because i want to just cut my egg roll wrappers to the size of wontons. If they are the same, what size are wonton wrappers normally, and what instrument should i use to cut the wrappers? If they are not the same material, will it still work? Or, where can i find some wonton wrappers, cause i think my mother got the egg roll wrappers from walmart and i don't know if they have wonton wrappers there. Thanks if you answer any of my questions. =)

My family will be leaving town for Christmas this year. The cabin where we'll be staying has burners, but no oven. So I'm assuming turkey is out of the question (or is it??--cooked ahead and carefully reheated? but how?) We can make just about anything that can be done on top of the stove, and I could also bring along my slow cooker if it would be of use. But we need ideas for a menu that is somewhat festive, but does not require an oven! Any brilliant ideas out there? Thanks so much in advance!!
