A Turkey without stuffing, a 14 pounder will take about 3 hours at 325 degrees, add a ½ hour if you have stuffing in there.

Good Luck with Your Turkey

Turkey Temp

I place a stuffed Turkey on the rack that best centers the Turkey. Figure this out using your COLD turkey, before preheating your oven to 400* F. Lightly massage the skin with a Tablespoon of Vegetable oil; salt and pepper it and place in oven for 20 minutes. The higher temp will seal in the juices and make sure your bird develops a nice skin. Sometimes I rent it with foil if I get nervous. Remove the foil tent and baste away. Turn the heat down to 350* F and count on leaving it in there for three hours. You can quickly baste the skin every 30 minutes. At about the 2.5 Mark, I return the foil tent to protect the skin from burning. If you ever see or smell the Turkey skin starting to smoke or burn, put the tent back on earlier. When you see the drumstick joint has clear juices underneath a sort of transparent skin, carefully grasp the honey end and wiggle it. If it moves easily, like a stick shift in Neutral, take it out and inspect it to see if there are any cloudy juices seeping out. This rarely is the case, but it s good to double check to avoid an undercooked turkey being served. You don t want to become the star of a Thanksgiving Gone Wrong story, do you? If all juices are clear, it s done! Otherwise, return the bird to the oven for another 30 minutes and test again.Transfer your Steaming Hot Turkey onto a serving platter and make the gravy, using the pan drippings. Make sure to place the Turkey in a safe spot on the counter, away from your work area and grabby people. Get a clean, cotton tea towel, rinse it in cold water and wring it until it s just damp. Place this on your Turkey for twenty minutes. This will keep the skin from splitting and give your Turkey time to rest, giving the juices the chance to distribute evenly if you want to remove the STuffing ahead of time, replace the tea towel right away. When you are ready to present it to your guests, or are ready to slice it, remove the tea towel for the last time and admire its beauty! Take a small now after the applause; it s the least you can do.

I like to rinse my turkey, inside and out, then dry with paper towel on the outside, you can stuff it now(if you are not stuffing it put lemon wedges and fresh sage and thyme in the cavity, don't forget to first remove the giblets), then either rub with butter and season, or put strips of bacon on the breasts(this helps to keep moist). I usually roast my turkey at 325 for bout 20 min/pound. For a 14 pound turkey that would be almost 5 hours, check in four and a half hours, the legs should start falling away from the turkey, and it should be golden brown, the best way to tell doneness unless you are an expert is to use a thermometer, the internal temperature next to the thigh should read 180 to be safe to eat at the least. If your turkey isn't finished cooking but it is as dark as you would like it to be you may tent it in aluminium foil. Let your turkey sit tented in aluminium foil for at least a half hour before you cut into it so as the juices go back into the meat.Enjoy your dinner

325 degrees for 3.5 hours. It should have directions on the turkey package. Check it to be certain.
Generally it is 1 hour of cooking per 4 pounds of turkey.

Well I cook my turkey at 250 degrees the day before. Yes, it sounds weird, but we (I) cook my turkey all night long. I have been doing this for 27yrs.

I cook it 250 all night and then when I wake up I put it up to 300 degrees. Then an hour before eating I put it at 350 with NO cover, so the turkey could brown..........Good Luck
