Here's a quick way to make them you need

1 (6 ounce) can tuna, drained
1/4 cup chopped celery
3 tablespoons light mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish (optional)
2 English muffins, split and toasted
4 slices tomatoes (1/4-inch thick) (optional)
4 slices American cheese or cheese, of your choice (3/4-ounce slices)

Combine the first 4 ingredients in a bowl; stir well.
Place toasted muffin halves, cut side up, on baking sheet.
Divide tuna mixture evenly among the muffin halves.
Top with tomato and cheese.
Grill 2 minutes or until cheese melts.

1) Toast the bagel (or English muffin, or bread) first so the tuna salad doesn't make the bread soggy.

2) A generous portion of tuna salad on top of that.

3) A slice of cheese (usually American, but your choice) on top of that.

4) Put under a broiler for about 30 seconds to melt and brown up the cheese a bit.
(*You can also put it in a microwave to melt the cheese for about 15 seconds on high if you don't want to bother with the broiler.)

Serve and enjoy! I like to make mine on an onion bagel.

Yummy!

"Tuna Melts"
Tuna is often combined with mayonnaise and celery to make a flavorful cold salad to eat as is or to spread on bread. Imaginative cooks vary the basic salad with such additions as olives, cucumber, shredded carrot, cheese, sour cream, pineapple, grapes, apples, oranges, nuts or herbs. Another way to make tuna special is to pile the filling onto sandwich buns, top with cheese and heat under the broiler.

1 (7 oz.) can tuna; drained and flaked
1/3 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/3 cup mayonnaise
4 hot dog buns; split
2 slices American cheese; halved

1) In bowl, combine tuna, celery, onion and mayonnaise. Place open hot dog buns on baking sheet; spoon tuna mixture onto buns. Top with cheese.
2) Broil 4" from heat until cheese is melted. Serve at once.

"Tuna Cheesies" - 8 sandwiches

1 (6 1/2 oz.) can tuna; drained
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped celery
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 sliced bread or 4 English muffins; halved
Butter or margarine
8 slices tomato
8 slices process American cheese
Mayonnaise

Mix tuna, onion, celery, the 2 tbsp. mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Set oven control to broil and/or 550*. Spread bread with butter; toast in broiler.
Spread tuna mixture on toast. Place tomato slice on each and top with cheese slices trimmed to fit. Spread mayonnaise over cheese.
Broil 5" from heat 3-5 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown. Serve immediately. If desired, garnish with parsley or crisply fried bacon slices.

I know you have alot of answers.......best way is simply to grill on the stove the old fashioned way..........melt butter on the stove first of course. Make your tuna sandwiches but butter the bread on the outside of the sandwich......sandwich should have tuna and a couple of slices of cheese.......put the sandwich on the grille and toast on both sides....the best!
