I am looking for a recipe for a squid dish I once had. It consisted of strips of squid that had been marinated in lemon juice for 24 hours, which caused the acetic acid to "cook" the squid. I would like to know the name of the dish and how it is made.

I am taking an advance foods class and this week we are planning on making a pie just before thanksgiving. My one problem is that my table of six girls has a different tast in pie.

Four of them love pumpkin.

I myself love chocolate pecan

and we all love Apple.

When I said let's make apple they turned that down and said it was too simple for an advanced class, even after I suggested making a lace top crust.

So my question is, how to I appease all the girls and still make a pie that we will all enjoy?

I have to eat breakfast at 6:30 am and there is not an opportunity for me to eat (even a snack) again until noon. Yes, my job schedule sucks. I would like to have a warm breakfast every now and then (as normally I have Kashi Go Lean cereal [high protein, high fiber] with organic yogurt and soya milk). Is it okay to scramble eggs in the evening, put them in the fridge overnight and then fry them up in the morning? Is that safe? Does it affect the texture of the eggs?

Thanks!

I'm going to be making the pie crust dough over the next few weeks in preparation for a baking night at church, so I want to freeze the dough individually in plastic, will that work? I know you can buy frozen pie crust, but how does it work for homemade dough?

Does anyone pre-bake the homemade crust before they put the apples in for the pie, or do you just throw it all together?
