In their raw state they are clear to opaque yellow. They obtain their white appearance upon cooking. If you crack an egg and it is pinkish or has streaks of blood in the yoke it is fine to eat just a fertilized egg. If the whites appear amber or blueish the egg is spoiled and should be discarded, same if the yolk appears greenish or too orangy. Hope this helps.

Clear when not cooked. White when they are cooked. In Egg Beaters (you can buy it in carton at the store), they are yellow to give it the 'Egg like' look. But really just died.

white. That's why they call it egg whites. That's like asking what's the color of an orange or how do you spell TV.

Egg whites are clear. When cooked they are white. Froth or beat them and they are white and fluffy like clouds.
