My concern is; wont she think i'm competing & distracting her in the kitchen? Moreso, she's also an excellent cook.

i am attempting to make my first pie (coconut/pumpkin mix). i bought a frozen pie shell but unsure how to use it. do i need to thaw it out before use? or make the pie filling and pour it into frozen shell and stick in oven? i bought a pie crust sheild but also not sure if i should use this or how to use it. i am nervous about all of this b/c i am making it for a special occasion but know that if i mess up the crust then i will have to throw the whole thing away. any tips or hints would be much appreciated. thanks so much!

So I added 2 lbs ground turkey, 1 can tomato sauce, 2 cans of spicy tomato's, 1 large can of kidney beans (drained), 1 tbsp brown sugar, 3 packages of chili mix (i like it spicy), and a finely chopped saute'd large white onion. And half a cup of water (the recipe called for 1 cup, but I thought for sure it would be too watery). I put it in the slow cooker over night and this morning it seems kind of watery STILL. So... What else can I add to it to make it thicker?

I make my boyfriend dinner all the time, but I am very limited on what I know how to make! He doesn't have very much at his house so i usually have to buy every ingrediant, what can i make tonight that doesn't require too much time or ingrediants. Something simple but good.

I've been craving korean food like crazy, but there aren't too many good korean restaurants near me, so I decided to try making some on my own. I was wondering if there are any ingredients that are general to korean cuisine that I should just stock up on? I'm not that great of a cook, and I'm a college student, so I think I want to stick to the easier, cheaper recipes like kimchi fried rice, doenjangchigae, or bibimbap. Also, if anyone could give me any tips/recommend any good recipes? Thank you!!

I made some muffins the other day that were called poppy seed/lemon muffins and my husband got a migrane from eating them. Was it the poppy seeds that did it?
