I usually defrost and cook my porkchops on the stove top with some water, worchester sauce and rosemary. But I was wondering if anyone has any other recipes that I could try? Thanks

Any ideas of what would ship in the mail and be delivered in decent shape (not all broken up) to my boy I would appreciate. He is staying just a few miles away from our home but I still want him to get a treat in the mail from his mom.

I am planning on holding a chili cook off at my condo sometime this fall.

For some reason my condo has like 16 outlets in the kitchen so everyone can bring their own crock pot.

2 things:

1. Anyone have a creative name for a chili cook off?

2. Anyone have any recipes I can snag? I have never made chili.

My younger brother who is 18 is pretty goofy, and said that he is gonna make a gross one with gummy bears and other oddities in it. Should I tell anyone else, or just let them try it?

We are going to a haloween party (for adults only) and I am supposed to bring some sort of an appitizer dish. It is a costume party so it is obviously informal and just fun, so i would like something that tastes great, but also isn't that complicated, but looks like I have some cooking skill. Also I need something "different" because I don't want to show up with the same dish as someone else. Any input would be apprechiated! Thanks!

I grew up in Indiana and moved to kentucky last year and my momma always put brown sugar in her chili and served it with a peanut butter sandwich and it was soooooo gooooood! But when i moved down here everyone said they had never heard of that and it sounds gross! When I try the chili down here it has no sugar in it and just tastes bitter and too tomatoey! They never serve peanut butter with it, they serve cheese or fritos (which is good too) but i guess it's just what ya grow up getting use to!

I asked earlier if it was ok to eat food which has been left un-rifrigerated for 1 whole day,
9 people said ok to eat
5 people said not ok. ( 1 chef, 1 Nurse)

So I think that it is too nice to waste, so I'm going to take a risk and eat it.
If you don't hear from me, I have died of food poisoning!
Bye All.

Where can I find it?

What can I use in it's place if I can't find it?

Here's the recipe I got it from!

Gruyere Cheese Fondue

2 Granny Smith, cored and sliced lengthwise
2 Bartlett Pears, firm but ripe, cored and sliced lengthwise
1/4 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Garlic Clove, halved
1 Cup Medium-dry White Wine such as Gewurztraminer
2 Cups Gruyere Cheese, shredded
2 Tsp Cornstarch
1 Tbsp Kirsch
1/4 Tsp Nnutmeg, freshly grated

Fill a bowl with cold water. Add the apple slices, pear slices, and 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon of the lemon juice.

Rub the inside surface of a fondue pot with the cut garlic halves. Light the heating element and adjust the flame to medium. Combine the wine and the remaining 2 teaspoons lemon juice in the fondue pot and bring to a simmer. In a bowl, toss together the Gruyere and cornstarch until well mixed. Gradually add the Gruyere mixture to the fondue pot, stirring constantly. Stir in the kirsch and heat without boiling until very thick, about 5 minutes.

Me n my group of friends will be having a food sales and someone sponsor us a chicken and now we have to think of a way to cook it. But the problem is,we have no stove to cook it on the spot that day. We can only bring an oven for our food sale. If we pre-cook the chicken at home,i'm afraid it'll be cold after a while and no one will buy it. Help! What should i do? One more thing,we need to divide the chicken for quite a number of people. Any easy and quick chicken recipe?
