Hi there ;>

A friend of mine has 5 gallons of green tomatoes and he's looking to use them up somehow- in recipes that can be preserved or canned for some time to come. Some ideas he gave me included a green tomato relish and/or salsa? Anything goes, as long as it's good! :>

I'm new to canning, so please mention if you use a certain type of method for canning, and I can look up how to do that, if need be. Thanks!

My mother made OUT OF THE WORLD banana cream pie...the only thing I remember her using was the Jell-0 Banana pudding & whipped cream. I also want to say vanilla cookies too??? ..but heres was different than from most ..and I don't know what it is that made it soooo yummy. It was actually my grandmothers...and we didn't get a recipe in for the family book...and my mother doesn't remember much due to failing heath. :o( So I would try to find it and share it with my family because I have always talked of this wonderful pie to my kids...and they want to try it. Bless your heart for anyone who does find the recipe we remember and thank you for sending the recipes. :o)

what is the best way to cook a young chicken in the oven? I want to give it lots of flavor. I don't want to just put in the oven and come out with NO flavor. Also, it weighs 4.5lbs, how long to leave in at 350 degrees. Thanks for you help?

I'm making bread using yellow crookneck squash instead of zucchini. Has anybody here ever done this before, and do you change your basic recipe at all, other than the change in the squash? Thanks.

I turned it on low. Now I am at work worrying about it because I forgot to check the inside of the chicken for the "insides in a package". Do I need to run home during my luch break to take out the giblet package? It was a pre-merinated chicken, so I didn't rinse it out.

I made zuchinni bread last night for the first time. I made 2 pans, and thought I followed the directions pretty good.
My breads collapsed. Like a building, they just toatally collapsed!
Any idea why? Anyone have a goood recipe for zuchinni bread? I am going to try it again!

Magic cookie bars are those cookies with chocolate chips, coconut, and some sort of nut all on like a graham cracker crumb crust. I am trying to find the other name for them because I don't have a recipe for them and I like to compare recipes and see which one look like it would be the best but there aren't many recipes under the magic cookie bar name. I know they have another name, I have heard it before I just can't remeber it. I think it had something like heaven in it. If you know please help

I'm making (2) 15x 11 yellow cakes from scratch and using a whipped frosting. I'm going to layer them, and plan on using peaches with the frosting inside. What other fruit complements peaches, apricots?

I've done this before from a starter that a friend gave to me...but I'm nervous about making my own starter. I have found many different recipes and conflicting daily starter instructions. My main thing is that I don't want to make something that will make people sick since it does have milk in it...but I do remember how YUMMY the bread was once I made it. How easy is it to screw up when making it? Any ideas, suggestions, or advice would be much appreciated. Also, I haven't found any instructions on making it in a ziploc bag...and that's how I have done it before....releasing the air from the bag every day...and turning the bag over on the counter....if anyone has those instructions I would be much more comfortable with following them since I have done it that way before. Thanks so much for your help!
