Does anyone know of some vegetables I could put in a stir fry that would make it colorful and that wouldnt turn brown after I cook them and add the soy sauce.

Also if anyone had any tips on some home made sauce for stir fry... I would really appreciate it. Thanks

What's a surefire good recipe to get good crumbly shortcrust pastry for a pie base? I need exact details and not just ingredients, because most of mine attempts come out melting in the oven and too crumbly.

I was in warsaw in the summer and ate this amazingly tasty soup called Zurek (had sausage and egg in it), but I have found a couple of recipes online but they don't seem very good, and I don't know which to pick either way, so I hope some one here might be able to give me the real original Polish recipe so I can indulge in it's flavour, I will be truely gratefull!!!!!!.

My mom passed away a month ago, and she always did all the cooking. I'm 22 living with my dad who works late every night. I'm moving out soon but in the meantime I want to become more independent and cook for myself. What are some basic dishes I can try to make? I'm afrard that I'll undercook chicken and pork and stuff like that, but I need to try. How should I start?
