Why do I order my meal only to find when it comes there is a mixture of some aweful vegetable concoction that I did not request? If they are going to give me some food free, let me choose! How about some corn on the cob, or mac and cheese, or something else I want...

That kind of bugs me, too. I try to remember to ask for something else. I love Corn on the Cob! They should make that the default side dish.

Why don't you try reading the menu for a change. Then asking the waiter to change the veggies for something else. That's what the rest of the world does.

Read the menu. It normally says the meal is served with the veggie of the day.

Because a well rounded meal comes with vegetables. Please educate yourself.
