Why don't we eat other meat-eaters???

They say that eating meat is good for you.

IF this is true than does'nt logic dictate that the flesh of lions, tigers, vultures, wolves, hyena's etc... should be the
"creme' de le creme" of all meat dishes?

Why has'nt someone cornered the market on carnivore meat then
and why are all those herbivores so damn peacefull?

Serious answers only please...

Symptoms of gout include enlarged and stiff joints in the body, frequently found in ankles of older folks and long term (ten years or more) vegans who eat mostly beans, caused by high Uric acid build up. Doctor’s advice is to stay clear of beans.

If this a myth or another medical symptom,
- how does a body get gout process beans that are often the related cause of high uric acid ?
- Is there a method of cooking beans like lentils and dhal to reduce likelihood of uric acid build up ?
- what does one eat to make up for iron deficiency ?

My Grandma used to make apple dumplings, not the kind where you wrap the dough around an apple and bake it. She made hers in a pot on top of the stove, the apples were sliced and cooked and then the "dumplin's" were a type of dough she dropped into the pot with the apples, liquid and flavorings. Does any one know how to make this kind, I guess it was kind of like an apple dumpling stew?

I was just reading that in a different section. And am curious because I have worked in several kitchens in the past where all the engaged/married women wore wedding rings. And I have never heard of them being a safety risk. Even at the food handler's safety classes that the health dept has, they don't mention that being a risk of any kind, which they would be required to do so if it was.

The only time I have ever heard of anything related being a safety issue where food is concerned is when I worked at a summer camp one year. There was one boy who felt prejudiced because he was not allowed to wear nail polish while the girls in the kitchen were. He was told the reason he wasn't allowed to was because it might chip off into the food, even though there would have been the same risk from the girls but none were given any warnings about it, and plastic gloves were worn at all times.

Is it legal for bars in Spain to refuse to serve punters if they order a non-alcoholic drink and to try and force them to drink alcohol instead? I placed an order at a bar (an Irish one as it happens) for one alcoholic drink and one orange juice, and was refused service because of the orange juice. I was told that it was 'illegal in this bar to sell non-alcoholic drinks' (which I know was a load of codswallop), and was repeatedly told that I 'had' to include alcohol in the orange juice. This went on for some minutes, with me repeating that the orange juice was to have nothing else in it. Finally, I was given both, but the barman said that he was "not happy" with that, and that he would charge me for the alcoholic drink only as the orange juice was 'pathetic'. Minutes after I had sat down again, he arrived at our table, shoved his face right in mine and said that orange juice drinkers would be banned from the bar.
