Yes, and there is a song about kids preparing and eating hamsters. It is by a group called, "Big daddy" and it is called "Hamster Love". It is sung to the tune of that old "Muskrat Love" sappy song in the 70's. I'll see if I can find the lyrics.

Guinea pigs are eaten in Peru so I guess hamster can be eaten as well.

1) Yes it is possible to eat them but I have not seen any cultures that eat hamsters. Probably because they have little meat and are cute and are of the rodent family.
