How about some Ice and some Coconut Flavored Water?
Rum & Ginger Ale isn't terrible, i drink it on occasion.
But I still stick to my
Double Jack Daniels and Gingers though.
If you were a true drinker you would be wanting to Taste more of the the flavor of the alcohol instead of the flavor of the soda!

All of these answers are pretty good. I think Rum tastes best in fruity drinks... Mai Tai, ect.

light rum really mixes well with all fruit juices- extra nice is in blender with ice ,turned into smoothie after work-i used to to two or three of those until AA

rum orange juice, splash of pineapple, and a hint of grenadine.
rum & vanilla coke
rum & cola with a squeeze of lime juice
rum & iced tea, sounds wierd but its not bad...make sure it's sweet tea
