Ok I picked out champagne bridesmaid dresses without really thinking it through and it washes out some of the girls. There are seven girls and a few of them are going to tan a week before the wedding to get a nice glow to make the dress look better on them! I loved this idea and wanted to ask all of my bridesmaids to do that. I understand that some may not want to enter the "cancer box" but today they have all of the Gradual Tans and things like that. Is it too much to ask them to do that? Unlike some brides I REALLY want all of my 7 girls to look their best and I think everyone looks better with a healthy glow! I also want them to look not so washed out in the pictures. I will not force any of them to do it but is it too much to ask? Does is sound Bridezillaish?

I am already common law married to my fiance but like every girl I dream of being given away by my dad. Because we already have a baby together my mom is telling me what I can and can't have at my wedding because of tradition. She wants to invite people I don't know that well and my fiance doesn't know at all because she's helping pay for the wedding she can invite who she wants. My fiance is apprehensive about telling his parents about the wedding since they aren't exactly thrilled about me and the baby as it is, but my mom says she won't pay a dime on our wedding venue until his parents know. Right now I don't have the money to put down on the venue otherwise I would and I'm scared it will be taken by the time I have th money. Then my sisters who will be bridesmaids are telling me what they want their bridesmaids dresses to look like and that I better let them pick what they will wear. It's supposed to be my day shouldn't I have any say? How do I tell them nicely to back off? Help!

Ive seen lots of people doing this in this forum recently. Even if I didnt get the wedding of my dreams, I would feel too silly re-staging a wedding when I was already married. After getting married, Id like to move forward with the marriage. Id like to know what other people think about this.

My husband and I are having a "vow renewal" wedding ceremony because we got married in a hurry and just had a civil ceremony with dinner at applebees after. In a year or two we are going to do the big ceremony, and we'd like to ask in lieu of gifts, our guests bring money so we can further enjoy our honeymoon. We have been living together since about 3 months into our relationship, and have aquired all the home goods necessary. Is this unclassy? Will our guests take offense to it?

My finace and I have been engaged for 10 months now and will be getting marred this October. When he asked me to marry him we were both in school and broke! I was also so surprised I never had the chance to "let him know what types of rings i liked". DONT get me wrong i Love what my ring represents and that HE picked it out but i genuinly think its ugly!

No we are at a point in our lives where we have graduated and are making lots more money. My question is should I just keep my ring and never say a word or is there a nice way of keeping the diamonds, and band and upgrading? I really dont want to hurt his feelings but it really is ugly and he bought it at a bad time in his life. Is this vain or mean or b*tchy???? Its not just about having bigger diamond i would have MUCH MUCH rathered one stone verser a band with lots of little ones. I dont like showing it to people when they ask to see it :(

Okay I know this is an odd question but I need to gain weight for my wedding. I have been super skinny my whole life. I actually used to get made fun of in middle school for it. I come from a long line of Puerto Rican women who are very tall and skinny and my dad is super tall and lean. I'm about 5'7.5'' and weigh 104lbs and pretty much an A cup...now I get a lot of "you must not eat"s and thats about the opposite of me! I eat whatever I want, I work at a desk where I sit and eat, I dont work out...I'm this way because I was born this way! Now my problem is when I went to try on my dress (size 4) it fit fine around my waist but when I took a pic of myself in it...it just doesnt look right. I need to find something that will help me gain about 10lbs for my wedding that WONT go straight to my tummy and tighs. Something that will distribute evenly...can anyone give me any ideas? My wedding is not for anouther year (08/08/08) so I have plenty of time any advice? Thanks!!!

On Bridezilla's a bride had a white bouguet that was made completely out of ribbon with what looked like sequins on it. It was a tight ribbon arrangement, not a floppy bow. Can anyone tell me where something like this can be found? I have searched the internet and can't find it.

Did you pick every song for the entire 5 hours of your reception or did you ask for a few specifics (first dance, father daughter, etc) and let the DJ fill the rest?

My fiance and I were planning on getting married on September 25, 2007. But I found out Halo 3 is released that day and I want to postpone the wedding so I can play it. But she doesn't want me to. What do I do? I really want to play Halo 3 ASAP.

Hello, I'm going to a family friend's wedding on the 25th of August. They have asked me to play some songs on the piano for the reception. Does anyone have any appropriate sheet music that I can learn by the wedding? I have played piano for almost 4 years. Thanks.

I'm in low panic mode...I still have time (wedding is 6/21/08) but I just found out details about my site not previously disclosed...

Originally it was to be on a large gazebo/deck overlooking the ocean...I called to find out about obtaining a generator permit (was told that was the procedure)..long story short, no power allowed, nor candles...no amplified sound of any kind....so unless we want a silent reception (not to mention the wedding march, etc)...'tis time to find a new site.

I'm at a loss...I work full time so I don't really have the freeedom to browse along too much...If I can, I'd like to avoid the $$ of a wedding planner (but may have to deal with it)

I live in Virginia Beach, Va...(beach weddings are beautiful- but we can't do a ceremony and reception there)
