My niece just got married. I was unable to attend (as it was in another part of the country). I would like to send her and her groom a gift by mail - nothing too heavy - any suggestions?

My boyfriend of 4 years told one of his friends (which his friend told his siter who in return told me) that my boyfriend is going to ask me to marry him the day of my gradutation. What should I do? Should I belive this trail of information or just pretend I never heard any of it?

My father is in a coma for the past 5 months and I know that he wanted to be the one to walk me down but its nearly impossible right now. I have an ex boyfriend who we dated for 4 years but then it turned out that he was gay. We are the best of friends and my guy is all right with him as that. We are more like brother and sister and true friends also. Should I ask him to walk me down the aisle? Or my mother who I am close with, my older brother, my grandfather? Who should walk me down the aisle? I need help. Thank you

We actually chose the date because we met on July 7th, 2005 and we knew we wanted to get married in the summer because he's an accountant and SUPER busy December-April. We didn't even realize that it would be 07/07/07 until we looked at the calendar and started thinking about it. Worked out nice! We aren't really all that superstitious, but it can't hurt to have a little extra luck on your wedding day, right? :)

A friend (and co-worker) has asked me to be the photographer at her May wedding. I like to take pictures and I do a pretty good job, but I don't have any formal training or experience. I have a digital camera which takes pretty good pictures, and would be transferring the pictures to disc to give to her. I have no idea how much to charge, though. I know it shouldn't be too much, since I'm not a professional, but I don't want to screw myself, either, because I can REALLY use the money. Please give me some suggestions! Thanks!

Not asking for big diamond-only tiny diamonds in a band. Divorced 34 years so getting married again is a BIG deal for me. Feeling a bit disappointed that fiance doesn't want to spend money on a nicer ring for me. Not sure how to handle.

I need suggestions on wedding flowers. I was trying to plan for an elegant but in my budget wedding. I am only having one bridesmaid, and possibly a matron of honor (if my sis who hasn't had a wedding chooses to participate). One groomsman poss best man. I don't know a flower girl or a ring bearer. The facilatator from my church wants me to have a flowre girl, ring bearer, and at least three ushers and three hostess. Now she has said I need corsages, boutineers (spelling) and I don't know how to budget for this. I don't know how much wrist corsages cost and boutineers and I can't afford to spend over a thousand dollars on florwers. Any ideas on how to cut florist cost. I was thinking of making at least the bridesmaid bouquet and my throwaway bouquet from Michaels but she my facilatator got a little racial and stated african americans buy their flowers making them is too cheap. Please help me. I am getting married in April 08

I am getting married this summer and my sister used to be a wedding coordinator. I have ideas for the wedding and everytime I mention them to her she tries to talk me out of it. She says something like "No, you need to do it this way". Right now she is fight with the bridesmaids because she doesn't like their idea for the shower. And she is livid that they won't put "No kids allowed" on the invitation. What do I do? She is driving me CRAZY!!

I am supposed to get married in August to a man that lives 3 hours away. We have been together for over a year. He owns his own business and do not have health insurance and I was young when I had my kids and gave custody to my parents. Well I have been with them for 5 years now but I have been unable to work due to taking care of 4 kids and my grandma who is now in a nursing home. My parents are against us getting married cause of the fact of no insurance and feel like he needs to get a full time job with benifits but he can't do that and own his own company. I want nothing more that my parents to support me on this. I am 30 now and take good care of my kids. My parents say there is no way we can get married in August. They know I am not gonna leave my boys here so if they do not give custody then I can't do it. I need to move down there and get a job but I don't want to leave me kids. How can I get them to see that I love him and want to be with him and that we all will do just fine

I am getting married in July, and am finding that my Guest List is growing daily. We are working with a very small budget, and would like to invite everyone that has expressed an interest in attending, but that would be near impossible. The ceremony and reception are at the same venue. How do we decide who gets invited, and who does not? Also, how do we "make it up" to those that didn't "make the cut"? ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Okay girls, boys, whomever replies... I just recently got engaged... the happiest day of my life so far, right?!?! Well now that my fiance and I are planning the wedding... I am running into a few walls... One, my family (whole family that I consider) consists of only 6 people... Mom, brother, Aunt, cousin and Grandpa - 6 counting me. My fiance's family... Good ole' southern one... too many to count. My father left when I was 3 months, my brother and my Grandpa and Uncle (he passed away) have been the only "father" figures I've ever had. Original plan as a little girl, was to have a "Three men and a little lady" wedding... My bro, gramps and uncle were going to walk me down the aisle and give me away... Grandpa is now pushing 90, and although I think he can hold out for another 6-7 months, I think he will be fine, and bro shouldn't have a problem. So that takes two people out of my family and puts them in the wedding... My Aunt doesn't have a daughter, I am as much hers as I am my moms

My wedding is coming up in early September and since most of our friends like to have a good time and drink we have decided that in addition to beer we would like to set up a bar. I have 3 bartenders working it so that ppl aren't taking upon themselves to get drinks and this way we are able to cut off those that have had way to much. My questions is what is the protocol for alcohol at a wedding as far as charging. Do we have an open bar or do we charge $1 a drink.
Any info would be helpful..

I am looking for light pink and green M&M'S® that I can purchase in bulk. Other than the personalized ones available on the M&M'S® website, is there anywhere I can get just plain ones in those specific colors? I am looking at these for wedding reception favors to put in little bags. If anyone has other ideas on candy items that are light pink and green I could use instead that come in bulk, it would be appreciated. Thanks!!!
