My niece just got married. I was unable to attend (as it was in another part of the country). I would like to send her and her groom a gift by mail - nothing too heavy - any suggestions?

Money or a gift card is always good. If you are looking for a good keepsake check out www.thingsremembered.com they will ship it directly to her when you order online

Check, money, or gift card along with a nice note. Also, check their registry. Don't get them anything else, unless you REALLY know her or there was something special you had your mind on. You have no way of knowing what else they got, what they already have, and what their home decor is like. I truly value my gift registry. Or if you find something else, just send a gift receipt just in case someone else had the same idea. Nice of you to send a gift.

I agree. Check online registries--they're likely registered at one of the larger stores like Bed Bath and Beyond or Crate and Barrel or Macy's. Send an item through the online registry and shipping shouldn't be more than $10 no matter what you buy.

A gift card to one of the stores they're registered at is also good.

Gift cards always easy to ship, but if you want to get them something ... send them holiday decorations or ornaments for christmas or easter, halloween something like that.

You could send them money (check). Did they register anywhere. If so, check their registry and buy something from the registry.
