my family doesnt want me to get married to my bf ive been with for 3yrs and they told me that if i do go on with the wedding, they wouldnt even come, its my only wish i dont know what to do, my bf wont marry me if i dont have my family's support becuz he dont want to be the reason for my family to disown me we're still together though its just really hard to make a choice right now can someone help me please

shes knows she's insecure she is seeing a counsellour but still thinks theres hope after saying what hes saideg i want to be friends, i need a clean slate, i love you but am not in love with you, if you found someone else id be happy for you, i dont respect you and you've hurt me for the last time i cant do this anymore. i have told her i think it is over but she has this hope there is something there. thay have been together for 14months he was a nice guy but now hes done this to her. she did put=sh him away and she knows it but any advice on what to tell her as ive listedned to her for 10+hrs about this whole matter and i cant seem to get through to her. do you think its over or do you think there is hope? if you want to read my other message is under- Best friends fiance problem?i lost for more answers. help please any guys with opinions would be great as you should know what hes on about thanks

Need to wait a while (like 5 months) to propose to my g/f due to financial reasons (I'm a student working p/t) and situational concerns (I live with my parents). In 4 months I move out. I figure one or two months to adjust and then I'll propose.
Problem is I wish I could propose now. There is no way I could afford a ring while going to school for the semester, and I don't want to be engaged while living at home (like some of my friends). Any suggestions on how to pass the time without going crazy?

my best friends fiance has just told her after along time of thinking, that he just wants to be friends, doesnt want to see her but still wants to remain friends but by talking on the phone. he let her keep the ring but said dont put it on just keep it in the box to look at and hope for the future that maybe we'll get back together. he also said i love you but am not 'in' love with you. thats he needs a clean slate and would be happy if she moved on.
i know this is confusing but this is what my best friend has told me. she does blame herself for the break up as she is very insecure costantly asking if he loved her, how much and saying i love you more than you love me. i know how she feels cos everytime she left my house she'd ask me q's do you think im happy, am i fun to be with, do you think tim and i are ok etc etc- and if you dont answer she gets annoyed and msgs more im not sure of the right answer she still has hopes but i feel that it seems like the end to their relationship.

We are getting married in December 2008, still some time ahead. I'm trying to decide which of the two would be better for the honeymoon. Italy- weather: fair, price: cheaper in December, culture, history. BUT Atlantis is only 2 hours from New Jersey, resort, is the weather going to be warm enough? So many questions. It will be a simple ceremony...no wedding party, no bridal march, no fancy white wedding gown, no daddy walking me down the isle, etc. But we are having a simple dinner party afterwards. After 10 years of marriage, we are hardly in the "demand" or "market" for physical gifts or monetary gifts, nor do we expect them. How would I word that in the invitation? Or would I just leave it out and let people do what they want to? Also, any ideas on the overall wording on an invitation like this would be appreciated. Thanks!

They like alternative, and country, really open to anything that would fit - you know something that talks about love with out being too sappy. Something upbeat would be great

I was blessed to have a close childhood friend whose a professional cake decorator who did our cake. It served 200 people, 3 square tiers, raspberry filling and white chocolate buttercream icing. It had a row of lilies and orchids cascading down and around from the top to bottom. I remember there were lots of details like small silver beads (edible), swirls, swags in the icing. We have almost no money to make this wedding happen but we are trying to get it done under $1000. I'm looking for a song, thats concerning a dad and daughter relationship. She lives through music, and I can't seem to find a good song that will help her emotionally, and let her know other people are like her out there. My fiancé and I met about a year ago. We're in a long distance relationship (he's Canadian, I'm American), and we're planning on getting married next June here in Central Ohio. He isn't religious in the least, and while I have my beliefs, getting married in a church is not important to me. In fact, I really DON'T want to be married in a church, because it just seems like that's what most people do, and I want to do something a little unconventional, or just not as common. I would love to be married outside, but the unpredictability of the weather makes me hesitant to do so (although it's not out of the question - if we do it though, it will be later in the afternoon/early evening). So I guess what I am asking is for any indoor, non-church locations for a wedding in Central Ohio. Thanks guys!

My fiance is not excited about having a wedding, doesn't want to participate in one, will not consider ideas for one, doesn't want his family there (they DO get along). He says its because no one on his side is happy to see him get married so he doesn't want one (he's 21, parents think he's too young, I'm 25).
He did "offer" having a small wedding with just my side but I think thats pointless since a wedding is about the joining of two people and two families.
However, he's all for marriage and is excited about the marriage and "future" part. I org. wanted a big wedding but have skimmed it down tremendously. Its making me very sad and depressed. I feel like I've made many compromises and he hasn't and I feel like I'm being punished for his parents uninvolvement. I've always envisioned a wedding with my loved ones around. How do I make him understand how important it is for us to have a wedding?

undecided on which colors to choose from for our wedding in august! there are so many colors out there
i really like wild orchid(which is a purplish/pink) we are thinking of that as our primary color-butwe are un sure of what to have as an accent color or a secondary color-we do have some colors in mind like silver and iceblue-but not 100% sure if we want to go with those!! if anyone has any opinions on colors that would go well with the color wild orchid-or even if you have an idea of different colors that would go well in august as long as it isn't brown- we open to any suggestions-even if you might have some ideas of flowers for boquets as well!!
