I'm getting married in 4 weeks time and everything is more or less organised. However, I've still got all the little details to see to now and I'm stuck!
We're getting married in a registry office and I want to pick my own music but I don't know what to choose? We're not allowed anything religious.
What music would you pick for the procession and signing the register?

I have three bridesmaids and no maid of honor. I have three really good friends and did not want to offend anyone by selecting only one as the maid of honor. Two of them are ok with this, one is not. I am not changing my mind on the subject, but I would like to get them all something special to show them appreciation. BM#1, is a new mom and we are very similar, she is slightly younger than me. BM#2, is a lot younger than I am, she brings out my crazy fun side. BM#3, is the same age as I am, she is more reserved.
Any ideas? Please help!

I friend of mine from high school is getting married this summer. It's been 10 years and we are not really close at all anymore. She is having a bridal shower this weekend. Do I have to get her two separate presents for the shower and the wedding, or is one enough for the whole occasion? Mind you she is registered at some pretty high end store that I just really can't afford too much at. Thanks to all!

I"m planning a somewhat formal event, & I need to give about
25 small gifts to 25 teenage guys (ages 14-16). I'm on a real tight budget, so these "thank u gifts" need to cost about $3-$5. I was thinking those little colgne bottles (mini/sample bottles) but I don't know which ones are the most appealing.I'll take any suggetions, plz.

We were unable to have a church wedding 3 years ago due to him leaving to go to Germany. We have been stationed there the last 3 years and we are now planning a church wedding. I am clueless on how to word the inviations. Do I use my maiden name or my married name? Do we ask them to attend the marriage of us, but we are already married??? I am clueless!!! Not even sure who I would ask!

Here is the short version of my issue. My fiance doesnt like my brother. They have had it out in the past and he really doesnt want my brother to come to the wedding, but has conceded as long as my brother acts ok. I have 2 sisters, both of whom I am having in my bridal party (along with my daughter). My son is the Usher, and the littlest one is the Ring Bearer. I have let my fiance choose his own groomsmen and my brother isnt included. Only 1 nephew of mine is in the party.

The dilemma here is how do i make it seem like I really want him there- I know he will be hurt that he isnt walking me down the aisle, but i really dont want to take any chances of a full-out brawl... Is there anything else he can do to be included? He is my brother and I love him truly. I dont think he would ruin it on purpose, but i want my wedding to go smooth with little problems. Or should I just go ahead have him walk me & pray it will be ok?

My parents split up when I was 10 on bad circumstances. I stayed with my mum for years (I now live with my fiance). My dad and I have had an awkward relationship but recently was fone. However, we had a row just before Xmas over his partner and her kids (I'm not a jealous kid - my mum has remarried), and haven't spoken since. I've tried to get in touch and had no response, he's totally changed since he met this woman and obviously she has some kind of hold over him. We were all getting along really well so this is a bit unexpected. He emailed me at work the other day to tell me that my cat had been killed (he wouldn't let me have her back), and thats the last I've heard. I really don't like him as a person but at the end of the day he's my father - should I invite him? And he's impossible to talk to - trust me, I've tried!

Can anyone offer any advice. We are getting married in August and as with many people are trying to keep our guest list down to around 100 (we have just recently moved into a new home and have 2 kids). My partners parents are insisting that they invite six of their friends to travel with them to the wedding in Ireland (I have never met these people!). I come from a fairly large family in Ireland and my partner comes from a very small family in Sussex, and I feel I am been penalised for having such a large family, half of whom I cannot invite due to budget constraints. As it goes my lovely inlaws have verbally invited these people even though we have not yet finalised our wedding guest list. I am so angry at this and feel that I am being rail roaded into what they want. Being the bride I thought it is up to me who attends...can anyone offer any solutions as to how I handle this ? My lovely hubby to be is standing well back on this one........

I am getting married in 17 days, and all of my bridemaids dresses look different. i couldn't afford to buy everyone's dress, so i asked if they could buy them and all of them said they could, well i told everyone what dresses i wanted each of them to get and when was the latest they could order them to get them in time. NO ONE got what i wanted them to. everyone waited until the last minute and then when they couldn't get their dress they went to the mall or something to get dresses they "thought" would match. i am so stressed out right now trying to figure out how to pull this off. NONE of the pink matches they are all different colors tones, and to top it off, my MOTHER got my little sister a "wine" color dress instead of pink, telling me "oh they go together really good-don't worry about it" i am freaking!!! HELP!!!

I am beginning to plan my wedding, which isn't taking place until August of 2008. I am starting now because with 5 kids between my fiance and I, and we both have jobs, plus I go to school, I figure I'd rather start sooner than later so that I'm not rushed when the time comes. I am looking for some ideas to save money and some ideas for a perfect first song to dance to at the reception. Any ideas?
