Teach is right, short and sweet is best...but I would just go with, "Here we go.....Bride's cousin, Jane Doe, escorted by Groom's friend, John Smith, etc. Maid of Honor, the bride's sister/friend since 4th grade, Jill Blah and Best Man, groom's oldest and wisest brother, Jack Black!" Short and sweet, pretty much just names, no stories needed. Then something like, "And here they are, everyone please stand and give it up for the reason for being, the stars of the night, the new Mr and Mrs....."

The entire wedding party?? Is this something extremely formal? Maybe a little more fun?? I get to announce the wedding parties a lot and all I do is introduce them by positions "maid of honor""best man" and then by name.

So you are the Mistress of Ceremonies at the reception? As you go down the head table, it is usually done from one side to the other, depending upon which side your mike is on. You would just say, Maid of Honour is Jane Smith, best friend of the bride from Akron, Ohio, etc...... just give the relationship and where they are from.

I suppose this after the wedding ceremony? Tell how each is related to or came into the life of the bride or groom.. It doesn't need to be long and drawn out!

I agree with teach....if they are young and fun, then find out those things and add some genuine humor that will keep it light... you will have a blast!
