I want to get married at my BF's father's summer house on a lake. They have a small island about 20 feet from there beach that they have turned into a garden. I want to be on the island at sunset while everyone watches from the beach or on boats surrounding. The colors would be red, black and white with white and red roses every where. I want my twin cousins to be the ring bearers, and his cousins to be the two flower girls. Then for the reception I want it to be very laid back with buffet dinner. I would have a DJ for the first few hours then have my BF's band and other local bands play the rest of the time. Have an open invite for the party so anyone that knows us can come. Just have one big celebration. The only thing I need to make the day special is the man I love beside me and our family's there to support us.

It would have had maybe 50 guests. Be in a church, with a reception at a hotel so that I wouldn't have to worry about the food preparation.
I'd have worn a very simple long, white dress with an elbow length veil. An arrangement of various colored roses and baby's breath.
In real life, we married at a Justice of the Peace, with only my family there. I wore a blue wool dress. Had a short party at my folks' cabin. Not very exciting.

We had it! We had a traditional Ukrainian wedding, in my home church, concelebrated by three priests (one was my husband's brother, the other two were friends), ceremony all in Ukrainian with very traditional elements like wearing crowns of myrtle, standing on traditional embroidered cloth, etc. Had colours of light teal, lilac, yellow and pink, so it was fun to decorate with and everything was fun and pretty - July wedding. Supper was yummy, dance was fabulous.. . great fun had by all 200!
Oh, and I had the wedding dress of my dreams - of heavy bridal satin, long sleeves, low neck, basque waist - festooned with crystals, sequins, pearls, appliques... I looked a dream! Husband was splendiferous in grey tux, too!

I had my dream wedding. I wanted to have it in full foliage season and have the girls match the colors of the leaves. It was beautiful!

Small ceremony, in a church, with just family (mother, father, siblings/spouses, grandparents), then HUGE cookout on the beach. No gifts (or money) please! Just come to eat and drink and be merry! Jeans and shorts okay!
