I have a question well i guess it is advice or opinion.. My finacee is getting me this beautiful engagement ring. It is 3/4 karat of a diamond and it is marquis cut with 2 on each side. Well the problem is that when I looked at wedding bands there was a gap between the 2 rings. I checked into a wrap but the way the 2 diamonds are on each side a wrap would not look right nor would it probaly fit.. I may have to get my bad customed made and I really don;t want to do that because I am worried that if the diamond fell out of the ring that the regular wedding band could not be worn without the engagement ring. Has anybody has this problem before or does anybody have any suggestion??? I am just worried that it would not look right..

If I buy a dress from a store...how much should I expect to spend to get it altered (I'm a little shorter than most people)? My budget is $1500 for the dress and alterations and I need to know how much I can spend on the dress itself so I have enough left for alterations.

My sister is having her wedding next month, and I think that is totally cool. But there's just one thing. A few nights ago her fiancé whispered to me in the ear saying that he wanted to "do it with me all night long", then he kissed me on the cheek before going into the kitchen to see my sister (there was a family reunion at my parents house so that's why me and my sister were there together). No need for translation, I think, and he wasn't joking. I know now that he's a creep and a cheater, and that my sister is too good for him. But I don't know if I should tell my sister and risk making her mad at me or not believing me and thinking that I want her fiancé for myself.
And plus, I never even like him anyway!!!!

What do I do???????????

I am having a backyard wedding and am thinking of having the ceremony in a clearing under a canapy of trees. Because of the space, and because the ground is not level, it would probably be difficult to arrange chairs for 70 people so I am thinking of having them stand in a circle or semi-circle around us for the actual ceremony. I can't imagine the ceremony will be longer than 15-20 minutes. Would this seem strange or rude to the guests? The few people I have mentioned this too seem shocked that I would consider having people stand. There will be tables and chairs for the reception in another part of the yard.

If you bought a wedding dress online how would you prefer to receive your dress? I mean what type of box do I put it in and where can i get such box (at the lowest price). Do I ship it in the bag it came in? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Oh and also, would you rather purchase the crinoline separate or with the dress. And if together, should I ship separatly? Keep in mind the crinoline looks like a sleeping bag all rolled up. The dress has a train but can be bustled up.

My fiance and I are having a hard time trying to figure out what to get his one groomsman. He is 20 years old, goes to college, he doesn't buy much of anything. He is my younger cousin that I haven't seen in 2 years. I tried asking his girlfriend but she doesn't have any ideas, nor does his mother. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Has anyone been married in Cabo or Jamaica?? How much did you spend on just the wedding part (not including reception)? Which would most likely be more expensive?

My soon to be fiance and I are talking about ways to cut the costs of our wedding reception. Any ideas? Our friends are umm, big alcohol drinkers, and we don't want them to get all wasted at our reception, because it's our special day, but we don't want to completely cut the alcohol out either. What are good inexpensive alternatives or ideas that may help us out? Thanks!

We are totally in love, we live together, we both know we are the ones for each other and are soul mates. Here's the kicker, we've been together for three months. I know it sounds short, but we're both very old souls, but young in earth years. I'm 25, she's 23. We've both been through a lot, we're both very attractive and have dated many many people, and we have both found exactly what we're looking for in each other. We both have careers and make very good money. We moved in together and everyday is exciting and beautiful. So why rush you ask? We're not rushing, we want to share in what we know is love and committment and want to show the whole world. So how long should I wait? I was thinking of proposing in July, would be 7 months dating, then get married in 9 months from then. We would have been together for over a year at that point. What do you think people?

Well, this is the ultimate marriage of convenience, voluntary made for each other. The guy a terminal cancer patient, moderately wealthy with no kin to claim any inheritance or survivor benefits, but not filthy rich to buy the company of a voluptous damsel for his numbered days or afford decent in home care from a discount priced illegal caregiver. The gal a 20 something vixen, nursing student, behind in paying college tuition looking for short term assignment to rake in some dough. Feelings are incidental if not coincidental. Wedding bells and nuptials are to the mutual benefit of both who might even earn bonus karma points by helping each other out. The only gainers if the twosome decides to stay away from the Vegas chapel are the insurance companies and pension plan administrators who dont have to dish out a dime if the cancer patient with tarred lungs from prolonged puffs of Marlboro in his younger days to prove his virility crash in on his appointment with the maker. Wedding OK?
