Hi, since we live in Ohio, I know it can either be 90 and humid or it can be raining! Assuming it will be the usual hot and humid.. perhaps a sailing theme? the site www.sparklingcelebrations.com has these blue sailboat favors that are perfect for your blue theme. They've also got these glass coasters that are a pretty color of blue. Not sure if you're having alcohol at the wedding, but I had a drink recently that was visually stunning to the eye and would be a perfect table decor and also tasty! It was served in a martini glass, had grape vodka, blue curacao and Sierra Mist in it. It is quite pretty.
That website www.sparklingcelebrations.com has lots of other beach/island items if you're in that theme mode. They also have Tiffany Color blue items if you're going with that distinct color of blue.

the theme can be 'blue and white'! add different blue elements to wedding. how about some hydrangeas and calla lilies? blue bridesmaid dresses. blue accents on your cake. blue ribbon around your favors. blue m&m's with your names printed on them (go to m&m's website).
blue is great for a july wedding summer and cool!
if you wanted an actual item to be your theme try something like robbins egg, blue butterfly, blue starfish (beachy theme), blue bird/blue jay, or think of your favorite things that come in blue.
