I don't have any specific people ... however, if you go to the county clerk they should have a list of legally authorized people who perform a non-religious ceremony (and some will do it in different languages in case you have family from a non-english speaking country). They should also have some kind of list on their website as well ... give a call before going all the way out there, just in case they don't have a print list. Congrats!!

To find an officiant type into Yahoo your city, state & wedding officiant (no 's' on the end) You will have a few to choose from, usually on the 2nd page. The larger bridal sites seem to get top billing. If you do go to the bridal sites, please visit the site of someone you think you might like. Those bridal sites make vendors & officiants pay for your contact info so you may not hear back from someone you'd hoped.

I live in Maine and went to state.me.us. Follow the link to family & home and there is a section on getting married in Maine. You will find the notary section that you can search within towns, countys, ect. Best wishes!

What a beautiful spot to get married! I live in Portland, and I love going to Boothbay. (It seemed you had answers to your question, but I wanted to comment on your choice of venue)
