I don't really want a wedding because I don't like being the center of attention. And of course I could save the money. But I'm afraid if I don't I'll regret it later. I didn't walk for high school graduation or go to prom or do any of the typical things in life and my mom is making me feel bad because she won't be able to see her daughter get married. But I don't know if I want a wedding or not. What should I do?

I have heard that the local supermarkets do a good job, anyone order from Food Lion etc?
Or know any housewives who do this as extra income?
So many bakery cakes are bland and dry. Has anyone baked the Bon Appetit magazine, 1995 cake, if so how did it turn out?
Thank you

This is my Fiancees' first marriage and my Second one, but my parents never paid for the first wedding, so does this still fall on there shoulders? I have thought about paying out of "my" own pocket for the wedding but I keep wondering who really is the person responsiable? Either way it goes I don't plan on a large wedding, but I want it to be beautiful since my first one was a horable mess and this is my fiancees' first ( hopefully last) time at the alter!

Specifically, when it comes to putting down the parents for my fiancé. His mom and dad split when he was six and both remarried, and he lived with his mom and stepdad. When he was ten his mom died, so he went to live with his dad and stepmom, but they sent him to his grandma Jeans' to live. He considers his grandma the closest thing to a mom besides Peggy(his mom). ok here is the thing-can i put Ricky(his dad) and Peggy, or not? what should i put? i have no clue.

Is there a set amount of time after a couple becomes engaged that they should set and announce a particular date, everyone keeps asking if we have set the date yet, and we havent yet, we know that it is customary to wate one year from the date of engagment to actually get married, but when do you annouce the date you actually plan to get married?

I'm getting married in September. I had originly found a flower girl dress that look very simular to mine. Like a mini version. My dress has a white sash thing around the waist and I was going to make hers the color of the bridesmaids dresses. It was going to be very cute. Well, yesterday I was grocery shopping and I was in Sam's Club. They have all there Easter clothing out and I was looking. I found a beautiful little white dress. It doesn't match mine like the other one did but I really like it. I guess my real question is..... Do ya'll think that a white Easter dress will look ok as my flower girls dress in a September wedding?

For my summer wedding, I am getting married in a beautiful historic barn, and the reception will start with a sit down dinner. The tables are long rectangular "farm tables". I wanted to decorate them with a long draping table runner, and with a thick row of all different heights of pillar candles. But, I can't use any candles in the barn, because of fire hazards. I want to keep the theme of a long streamed mix of one single item, over and over in a row down the entire center of the tables. Any ideas on what else I could use that would be as cheap as candles? I don't want flowers.

Wedding day is the most exited and emotional day especially for women.
When I was a child I was always dreaming about my future great wedding. I was dreaming about it a lot and always had a picture of my white, beautiful wedding dress in my mind, nice and big ceremony in a church, smiling and happy people around me, my family and all friends...
On my wedding day my mother-in-law ripe of all my priceless dreams I was waiting to come true so much.
It's my worse day of my life :(

I just need to forgive her do not live in sadness which I can't or just to forget that day which I can't as well...
I need your advises, please...

We are having a girls night out Bachelorrette Party, and we would like to incorporate some simple games we can play at the dinner table, we will be at a restaurant. I know we can definitely do a simple quiz name about the bride to be, but what else?

Hey everyone, My fiance and I are getting married in a church, and we are looking for a song to sing before the prayer portion of the ceremony. I absolutely love the song christian song "How Beautiful". However, the song contains a verse that mentions "the bride who waits for her groom with his light in her eyes"..Although we definitely consider ourselves Christian, we are not virgins by any means, and we didn't wait for each other. And I would guess that mostly everyone in attendance would guess that we didn't. It is important to us to have a christian song, but we don't want to look like hypocrites!!! It is also important to add the alcohol will be flowing at the reception..Do y'all think this song is appropriate, or do you have any other suggestions?!? Thanks!!

So all I want for a wedding gift is a party boat. I am not into big weddings either so I made a deal with my parents. They bought me a party boat and we are going to get married on it. We have a beautiful camp, so we are going to invite all our friends and family up and have the whole walking down the aisle thing except we will get on the boat. We each get to bring 3 ppl. I'm bringing my parents and my best friend... we'll get married on the water and then come back to shore and have our reception!! Very low key attire, I'm thinking for me just a white cotton sundress, and for him khakis and a white shirt untucked!!! hair down a wavy with some daisys tied into it

sound tacky or good?
