I want to ask my best friend to be my maid of honor, but there's just one catch -- my best friend is a guy. Can I have a male maid of honor?
With the exception of one girlfriend, all of my close friends are guys. What am I supposed to do about the bridal shower, the bachelorette party and, most importantly, the wedding party? Also, my fiance and I share many of the same friends, with only a few exceptions.

It seems that more and more men are taking their girlfriend's last name as there own. Would you? And for what reason?

I am scared of weddings. I cry at them - ALL of them. On tv, in movies...you name it. And I hate crying in front of people. I get so embarrassed. I plan to elope when it is my turn to marry. But anyways, I am going to a wedding soon and am having serious anxiety about going to the ceremony. Is it WRONG to go to the reception and not the ceremony? The wedding is for a co-worker friend, not a family member.

My fiance and I were wondering if it would be a huge deal if we didn't do a wedding program. We are having a full ceremony though. Do you think it's necessary?

Listen up ladies and gentlemen. I would like to do something really nice for my wife. She deserves anything I can ever do for her. She is truly a good person. She takes care of the kids, pays the bills and is a full time student in college and keeps everything in order. I am running out of ideas. I have surprised her with everything I can think of over the past nineteen years. I am the romantic in our marriage and want something new and unique. I have hired limo drivers on valentines, nice dinners. Clothes, rings, earrings, New home and cars. Flowers, mini vacations, furniture, cards flowers and even the rose peddles down the hallway and such. I am out of ideas. Please help! I am not rich by all means but I don't mind spending the money for the surprise effect. We have already spent a week in Vegas also, renewed our wedding vows. I’m not bragging, I just want you to look and give me something different from what I’ve already done! Two years ago, we sold our old house and I gave her $10,000 dollars to spend on herself and she just put it into a cd for our kids for college. Please be nice, Ideas only!

My sister and her husband are having their 40th wedding anniversary next month. Their daughters are having a catered dinner for them. They requested no gifts. However, we would like to do something more than just show up and bring a card. We would like to bring some kind of remembrance that they could cherish or put in their memory book. Does anyone have any ideas. While we could spend a lot of money, we don't think that would be appropriate. Something unique and inexpensive seems to be more appropriate. Any suggestions?

I know a woman who has been bragging for months that she's getting married. She talks nonstop about her impending nuptuals, her plans, her vacations with her "fiance" but the one thing she neglects to mention is that the man is still married. Is this proper these days?

I already asked this question, but no one gave me real answers and they didn't read what I posted and gave me stuff I didn't want or need. Please read in entirety before replying, if you do not know, please do not answer. I am looking for a place that sells Cambodian wedding dresses, but not in Cambodia or Vietnam, because it will take far too long to have them made in my small size and shipped to America. I cannot even find the fabric so I can make them. All the fabrics I found online are plain cambodian fabrics, I need stuff for a wedding. I tried google, yahoo and all that, so please do not leave answers saying google it. I need them soon, by May for rehearsal, but can do without until the actual wedding in July. I need 10 and two dresses for each of my three brides mates. Please only leave answers if you really know of a place, an actual place, not a guess or google or something like that, a physical place you have seen or been told of. Thank you for any help you can give.

Not trying to be cheap, but I have already attended one bridal shower (with a gift in tow), and will be going to another one tomorrow as well. In addition to this, I will be bringing a gift to the "lingerie giving party", the bachlorette party, and to the wedding. Not to mention, for the bachlorette party we are all flying to NYC to party (on our own dime, I might add). I mean, ouch! This is killing my pocketbook. Is it wrong to not bring a gift to the party tomorrow??

How many should I have? Should I ask his sister to be one of my bridesmaids? I really don't even know her... And who is supposed to pay for the bridemaids dresses? Me or them? I get so many different answers from people. Do I choose their dresses? Do they choose their own?

Me and my husband will be celebrating 10 years of marriage next year and want to renew our wedding vows in a wedding ceremony in a church that we never had before. We are on a very tight budget and can only spend like $2500 on this wedding. I've gotten help on the dress and tuxes and other things, but I'm worried about decorations and accessories. Has anyone out these had a wedding on this budget and it was beautiful just like if u had thousands of dollars to spend on it? Please help me!

My husband and I were just married in a very small ceremony of about 15 people in the town where we now live. We had already announced our wedding date as October 6th to everyone and were planning to still have a large ceremony for everyone in our home state where the majority of our family and friends are. More and more though we're feeling like people won't want to come because it's not the real thing and are thinking of throwing a wedding party instead. I've heard of these before but I don't actually know what the etiquette calls for in this type of situation. How do we go about telling everyone that we already got married and inviting them to the party without hurting peoples feeling and looking like we just want gifts?

Does anyone know WHERE I can find affordable bridesmaid dresses in this style made with satin/satin-like material, preferably: Deep red/wine colored knee-length A-line dress with a ribbon/sash going around the waist AND with a HIGH neckline (for instance, kind of like a haltertop that does not have a V-neck but rises up to the bottom of your neck). Thanks!
