IM DOIN THIS WITH THE APPROVAL OF MY BEST FRIEND.
SHE HAD A GREAT GUY WHO SHE WAS ENGAGED 2. HE WAS EVERYTHING SHE WANTED, HE TREATED HER RIGHT & MADE HER HAPPY.SHE WAS VERY INSECURE & CONSTANTLY QUESTIONED HIS LOVE & HAD FIGHTS IN FRONT OF HIS FRIENDS.HE HAS JUST BROKEN OFF THE ENGAGMENT SAYIN HE NEEDS 2 FIND HIMSELF & SHE NEEDS 2 GET HELP (SHE IS)
SHE IS REALLY CONFUSED AS HE SAID 2 KEEP THE RING BUT KEEP IT IN THE BOX 2 LOOK AT IN HOPE 4 THE FUTURE.HE TOLD HER HE WILL CALL HER JUST AS FRIENDS AS HE STILL WANTS HER IN HIS LIFE. SHE ASKED IF HE TRULY BELIEVED IF THEY WOULD GET BACK 2GETHER-HE SAID THERES ALWAYS HOPE.SINCE THEN SHE HAS RUNG HIS SISTER & HE GOT UPSET ABOUT IT. MY FRIEND GOT THE COURAGE UP2 SAY I WILL ONLY BE FRIENDS IF SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN BETWEEN US AGAIN IF NOT I CANT B FRIENDS & HIS REPLY WAS CAN U JUST B FRIENDS? HE SAID HE WILL ONLY CALL HER AS A FRIEND BUT NOW HE WONT GIVE HER A TIME HE WILL BE CALLING! IS IT OVER & HOW CAN SHE GET OVER HIM?IM OUT OF ADVICE

She should give him to calm a little and then talk it over. If it doesn't work out, htne best things she can do is put the ring away where she can't easily get to ti and look at it (it'll only remind her of him-maybe give it to you for safekeeping) and get her out and about enjoying life again. Losing love isn't something you ever get over-it's something you learn to live with. Just be patient with her and be there for her. Encourage her to do thins to take her mind off ihm-go on a girly holiday, or go on a spa break...try all these things to bring her confidence level back up. I wish the moron of a friend I know would see this and snap to reality to know that the so called good guy who's not going anywhere is one step short of leaving her insecure a** since she cheated on him the first 2 1/2 months of the relationship and this guy has never treated her like crap and she's denying to his family and telling them I am making it up when she knows she's about to lose a so called good thing when she slept with two guys one who was her ex boyfriend.
It's the saddest thing when people mess up good relationships and think they can just go back to them like it's nothing.

I have been in a similar situation. Its easier said than done...but your friend needs to move on and think positively about the future. Everything happens for a reason..tell her to have some ME time. In my situation the guy came back to me after a year. He also needed to find himself

He broke it off with her because she was emotionally unstable. If she wants to get back with him, she needs to address her issues. Bothering his relatives and trying to get a promise from him about the future only shows she has not changed. You say she is getting help-she needs it. She also needs to stop her clinging and whining. He obviously loves her, but was smart enough to see they would not have been happy with the way she was acting. If she can get herself under control and stop being so needy, they MIGHT be able to get back together, but she needs to let it happen, not keep trying to MAKE it happen. That is only going to push him further away.
