I have heard that the local supermarkets do a good job, anyone order from Food Lion etc?
Or know any housewives who do this as extra income?
So many bakery cakes are bland and dry. Has anyone baked the Bon Appetit magazine, 1995 cake, if so how did it turn out?
Thank you

Try the knot.com you can post in your local area and talk to people from your town. I live in Philly so I won't be much help :)

And Bakery cakes are much better then they use to be and it's also how much money you want to spend. I spent a couple extra hundred to get a nice cake. Our cake is moist and has filling inside of it. It's alway pound cake but they can put swirls in it and filling to make it moist... Our is soo good and every layer is a different type of cake and filling.

Contact Rev. Gladys Weydert of New Covenant Weddings.

She offers different packages for her couples & purchases cakes as part of one. She gets them at a store I do know that. Something like Public or Publik???
She'd be able to tell you first-hand.
