I would have done chocolate and pink if I had gotten married in the fall. However, I ended up with a spring wedding and did light pink and clover green. I think any two colors that represent your taste will work. There are so many options out there right now for chocolate and pink too so it would be a lot of fun. I would suggest showing your fiance some examples of the pink and chocolate shades together so he can get a better idea of what you're thinking. Guys don't usually have a good sense of color shades. He may be thinking in his head shades of brown and pink that don't go together. I think they are good choices and would look fantastic! Good luck!

I was married at the end of April in 2000, and my colors were cobalt blue and silver. My husband was involved in picking the colors, so it was a little more man friendly than most weddings tend to be. If I had it to do again though, I would so love to use chocolate and pink. It's a really great combo, really appealing to the eye. The only problem i foresee is with the flowers.

Good luck!

I would be hesitant on those colors as well. I'm not a fan of chocolate? Anyway, the guys don't really care about colors, but thinking he'd have to wear a chocolate or pink cumberbun...

My wedding was in Oct and my colors were fuschia and white. Colors wasn't something that I even considered until later on, but my boss (wonderful boss) gave me 3 bridesmaid dresses free of charge. They were all the same and that pretty much decided my color theme. I was very grateful for the gift and just went with those colors !

I got married in October and used Burnt orange(think u of texas) and Ivory, We also used some olive green and hints of red and yellow. We had a theme of fall so those colors worked.

I think the colors you chose are nice. If Pink is the problem have the boys dress in the chocolate and the girls have a pink dress with a chocolate sash.

I'm getting married in September also. On the 29th. My colors are going to be Purple and Orange. Fall colors of course. The purple I picked out from David's Bridal is called Victorian Lilac and the orange is going to be a burnt fall colored orange. I'm going to do their flowers with that color. But, your choice of colors sounds pretty too. One of my co-workers has a friend getting married in August and her colors are Chocolate and Watermelon Pink. The stuff I've seen that they have put together looks great. But I guess you do kinda need to pick colors that your fiance likes too. Good Luck!

We are getting married in October and had a heck of a time trying to pick colors. I had chosen several combinations including Chocolate and Pink, Chocolate and light blue, or Sage and Pale Pink, but my fiance nixed all of them pretty quickly. We are now going with Navy and Silver. They are simple colors that are equally male and female.

My colors are celadon green (like a sage color) cream, with small hints of pale lilac for my July wedding. But my bridal shower colors are mocha and pink..I love that combo! I just didn't have the guts to use it for my wedding. I think it's a fabulous color choice. There is nothing wrong with using those colors for a September wedding. You have the chocolate, which is a fall color, and pink, which still reminds you of summer, perfect for September, when it's not quite full fall or full summer.

To date myself -Grey and Pink It was a very popular trend at the time (along with my dress, imitating Lady Diana)
Second wedding -not that long ago, but very formal. The great part however was we only had one Maid of honor and one Best Man. Makes that part real easy! It was an Oct. wedding and black tie the other color was a very rich deep purple. (not so dark that it looked like the black in pictures) Most everything table wise was black and white with gorgeous white Calla Lilly's. The rooms decor was art deco and the simplicity went with the room really nicely.
Think about the reception hall. Take care to check out the colors you have to work with there and play off those too.

I'm using sky blue, butter yellow and pale green. Pastels I know but my wedding is in July. I personally like the pink/brown colorscheme. Since your wedding is in the fall, maybe you want some more red and orange hues to include but it is totally up to you. BTW, the best way to work with a picky fiance is to pick out 5-6 colors YOU like and let him pick from those. You are giving him choices, still making him a part of the planning process and getting what you want as well LOL. Congrats and good luck!!

I got married in July 2004. I have to favorite colors red and purple. Since I knew that some of the men would not agree on red my husband and I decided to go with purple and white. Purple also just happens to be a favorite of my husband too. Just speak with your finance and see what colors he likes. It's his day too so he should have some input. Since the wedding is in the fall you don't want to be to drab but not too bright either if you are concerned about that sort of thing.
