What is the thing called that holds up the train on a wedding dress for the reception. I am NOT buiying a seperate dress. I want to get the thing put on it to hold it up off the floor. I have NO CLUE what it is called!!!

My fiance and I want to have our engagment party this July, and we are getting married next July. If anyone has had an engagement party, let me know how it went. We're not having bachelor or bacelorette parties, so should it be just our friends at the party? Or should we invite our parents and other close relatives? Is there a proper etiquette or should we just do what we want? I don't want to make my parents feel left out, but since we aren't having the other parties I feel like this should just be friends. I'm having a WTF are you serious kinda night!!!?
I am getting married soon and one of my girls is trying to get together my bachelorette party. One of my bridesmaid's (I was a bridesmaid in her wedding) is being such a brat. She say's she will not attend if it is out of town (Orlando- 45 min away) beacuse she doesn't want to pay for a hotel room (if she didn't drink so much she could drive home and a suite split between everyone is $30pp) Her mother-in law's birthday is the Sun. after and she say's she has stuff to do with her (I know from my fiancee that they are going to dinner Sun. night!!!) I am just so frustrated with her and her selfishness. Both my fiancee and I were in her wedding and it was the MOST expensive wedding I have EVER been apart of. She wanted everything to be perfect and as a good friend I made it all happen for her (stripper, weekend in west palm beach- not cheap) I just can't believe that she's not going to attend a party for me over $30 (she can afford it) This is completely a WTF situation!!!!

i know this is a huge topic but we are both very mature and neither of us want to be married until we are both out of university(2011) and also had time building up money in order to do it properly ((2014) we dont have a sexual relationship as I am recovering from PTSD after a violent ex and I want to save it for maried life. we arent desperate to be married or engaged but we want other people to take us seriously and we both want to be together forever and have the strength to be. I personally have a lot of paranoir even though he is completly trustworthy and even my parents trust us to stay alone together at hoime while they go over to france. I want the way we are to be seen, my mum has even given hints about it she knows we are so good together and that is alot coming from my mother!sorry im not explaining this very well (dislexic sorry (cant even spell that!) he is very supportive and helping me through ptsd and my 4th hip surgery and possible heart problems and i support him 2.

So I just bought my silk flowers and spray-painted tem the right color....and tonight my fiancee told me his parents want to pay for fresh flowers. I really appriciate them doing this although the reason I went silk was to keep my bouquet. How do I make sure I get what I want with these fresh bouquets without being ungreatful or a bridezilla.

The guy I am engaged to bought an engagement ring when he was with his last girlfriend (he bought it close to the end of the two year relationship). He swears it wasnt for her and that she knew he bought it. He said the only reason he bought it was because at the time he had the money and he didnt know if he would have the money to buy and engagment ring when the right girl did come along. I would like to know what both men and women think about this situation. Also do you think it is ok that I asked him to take the ring back and buy one that he picked expecially for me?

Under normal circumstances you would have your father walk you down the aisle at your wedding, however mine was killed when i was 18 in a car accident (will be 4 years this september) and it is a depressing thought that he can't walk me down the aisle. I was curious to see what other women in similar situations did. Who they had walk them down the aisle. Or for the father daughter dance. Did you do something to sort of honor him at all ? thanks !

My mom announced to us that she is marrying (for the third time) her roommate, they both happent o be fairly heavy drinkers and plan to wed in the local bar where she is a bartender.

My older brother and sister want nothing to do with the wedding or my mom and are both vowing to take no part in the wedding. My mother is hurt by this and just wants her kids to be happy for her. I cant seem to support my mom with out being stuck in the middle between their feuding.

I am trying to help a friend out.... He is Catholic and his soon to be wife is Jewish. We found a Rabbi for her faith easily but it is almost impossible to find a Catholic Priest who will do an interfaith marriage esp. outside of a church. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wanted the tables to have names instead of numbers. So I have a Moss table, and Jade, Lime, Olive, Pear, Pine, Grass, Emerald, Fern, Pine, Apples, and Mint tables. Each table would be decorated by name.. Sounded like a great idea at the time except that I'm drawing a blank.. What else is green, that I can try to make pretty on a table? I have 18 tables.

My hair is naturally curly I was thinking I'd just scrunch it and put it in one of those big fashionable head bands, but it needs to match with what ever color dress I buy. Do you think a dress up to the knees would be cute, but the only problem is I don't know what color to wear? It's this Friday and I can't wear red 'cause that's what color the bride is wearing..... It's going to be in their garage and the other half of the time will be in their house. I'm just really stumped on what color?
