I wanted the tables to have names instead of numbers. So I have a Moss table, and Jade, Lime, Olive, Pear, Pine, Grass, Emerald, Fern, Pine, Apples, and Mint tables. Each table would be decorated by name.. Sounded like a great idea at the time except that I'm drawing a blank.. What else is green, that I can try to make pretty on a table? I have 18 tables.

Green hydrangeas are pretty, are you looking for flower ideas or just anything that is green in general that is "pretty" & associated with green? I mean if you have a sense of humor you can do a money table ;) There's also sea glass, you could also do different kinds of green candy in big glass vases- ie: m&m's, skittles, lollipops. Goodness I can't think of anything else green. Let me go check my son's box of crayola's.

Hi, it seems like you might be making things a little to complicated for your self. Green is a wonderful choice, sounds beautiful! But why not simplify things and just put a pretty live fern or other pretty green plant in a gorgeous pot or even a simple terra cotta pot on each table? You could have a different plant on each table, just go to Walmart and choose several.
Ferns would be beautiful with a few flower petals strewn on the table confetti style or the colored glass stones.
Also, consider getting 3 different height wine glasses for center pieces and filling with a few green glass stones and snuggling a votive candle down in each one...????Sounds like fun..don't think too much....you'll lose your perspective and stress out make things simple and enjoy your day! Good Luck!

Because numbers have an order, they make it easier for people to figure out where they need to go. Boring, but very practical -- you might want to reconsider. The men will appreciate it, trust me. ;-)
Rather than every shade of green known to catalogue writers, how about using a few related shades as the base and accenting with different color flowers? Nature's done the hard part for you there. You could pick up the accent color elsewhere, say napkin rings intertwined with green. That way there will be variety, but it will go together nicely.

thats a toughy, 18 huh? You can also go with tables named after different shades of green and have each table centerpiece represent that color using things like green cymbidium orchids for one table, bells of ireland, hanging armynthis, green roses, with accents of moss and grass. But of the top of my head here are some "grren" things
leaves
seaglass
avacado
bamboo
clovers
lily pads

I love Jannette's ideas. How do you feel about bamboo? You can give these out in small vases at the tables.
