Since you want to think of them, too, sit down with them and pick a color you all can decide on. Best wishes!

That's really thoughtful of you. I'm going to be a bridesmaid this summer and in the beginning I was really starting to worry about the dess (it was going to be yellow or brown). Now she changed it to wine red with an ivory sash which I know I'll be able to wear again if needed. If you're willing to do it, I'd say do a black dress (maybe with a silver or white sash/accent) - that way they should be able to wear a black dress at some other point in time. Or if all 3 of them have similar tastes - see what colors they say, they may actually agree on 1 or 2 colors.
Oh yeah, and congrats!

If you really want to be a great friend to your bridesmaids, get together with them and choose something that they will be able to wear again, either as is or after it's been shortened to knee-length. One of the most wasteful things about today's huge and expensive weddings is that there are all these women with a bunch of God-awful bridesmaids' dresses gathering dust in their closets. If it's a summer wedding, think about getting something that is a light fabric which, when knee-length, they could wear to someone else's wedding, or a reunion. If it's a winter wedding, think about getting something that they could wear on New Year's Eve. Good for you that you're trying to be a considerate bride!

my aunt got married in the spring and allowed her bridesmaids to choose which color they preferred, within limits. Each bridesmaid wore : pastel colors: pink, violet, blue, and a green. It was pretty and it gave them the opportunity to choose.

Have bright light colours, stay away from dark colours for the spring. You can have..
-Pink
-red
-sky blue
Pick accents that work best with these colours like white and silver.
You may ask your bridesmaids as well and get their input.

You could let them each pick a different color that looks best on them, just keep it in the same value (light, medium or dark). Have them wear the same dress, just in 3 different colors. Have them carry the same flowers (to tie it all together). Best of luck to you!

I would narrow it down to one family of colours and let each bridesmaid chose a their own colour within that family. ie. shades of blues look amazing.
What I did was find a line of dresses I liked, and looked at their colour swatches, pick out two complimentary colours, and let the girls pick styles and colour from their.
Pink and Brown or Green and Brown, plus then flowers are easy to pick.

How about Pink, Blue & Green (which ever one looks best on each girl) OR different shades of one color -- Rose, light pink & pale pink. Talk to the girls and get their feedback.

If you are concerend they wont like it then let them pick there own color. To make sure they all match pick a color and allow them to each pick a different hue that works best with their skin tone.
