my mom is getting married in two months and wants my sister (who is two years younger than me) and me to be her ushers while my other two sisters be the flower girls. i need the answer so i can do my job as good as possible

You will escort the guests to their seats. If they are separating the place where the ceremony is being held to "his" and "hers" then you will need to ask which side they are with. Once it's over you will start at the front and dismiss one row at a time. This is the traditional way, your mom may have something else in mind I'd ask her what she had in mind.

Well normally all an usher does is to sit the people and make sure there is enough palces to sit. Most of the time they only do it when the church is getting full and then show them where to sit and when you go look to see where at is more seating places that are empty

I'm surprised that she didn't make you a bridemaid. A lot of women with children who are getting married do that. But ushers just escort the guest to there seats.

seats people, hands out invitations before they enter the sanctuary.... we are having our ushers light the candles before the ceremony, and they hand out bubbles/rice/rose petals, ect.... after the ceremony is over

u have to seat people in church like tell them how many can sit in a bench/pew. U also have to collect the money in the baskets. Good luck.
