She's upset because I won't allow her to perform the ceremony (long story), and she's not a bridesmaid (and won't be). But I need to include her somehow in the wedding. I have come up with several ideas to which she has turned her nose up at. She's very hard to please, but she needs to understand that this day is NOT about her. Any ideas?

thinking of getting married on the 1st of jan 2008 and surprising the hell out of all the family and at least i know that no one will be working due to a public holiday getting all the family together is very hard for us! thinking of doing a garden or beach ceremony at around 4 or 5 in the afternoon and then off to a nice resturant for the reception just in time for dinner

just want your thoughts at the moment !

nothing is set just as yet and no one can steal my ideas either i'll make em copyrighted if i have too lmao!

I'm engaged to a Marine and he's currently stationed at Camp Lejune, NC and I want to know if being married to him makes things easier. Because since we're planning to have a child, will being married make me eligible for certain benefits.

I want to honor my father who passed in 99' at my wedding with out being to glummy. I thought to just have a chair with his name and a bouquet of flowers in the front row. Rather then making a special ceremony like the "rose cermony".

My brother did that at his wedding and everyone was balling, any other suggestions?

Our wedding is all over. We are ordering thank you cards. We would like to have 'printed' thank you cards. We need to have something generic for everyone. (Six lines maximum).

After the generic thank you, we plan on writing a 'special' note to the individual.

Please help me with the generic thank you. I have no idea where to start.

At one of the college bowl games a running back(Boise State) proposed to the head cheerleader. What if they had lost? Several men have proposed using billboards. Did you propose or were proposed to in an unusual fashion?

Does anyone think getting a wedding band tattooed onto the finger is tacky? I thought it was a great idea at first, and I still do, but I've been having doubts lately.

I've been with my bf for 2 and a 1/2 years now. We have a 9 month old daughter. We currently live at my mom's house still, but we're going to be moving out by april into our own apt. I'm the type of girl who's been dreaming of getting married since I can remember. And I only get depressed while watching wedding movies and such things. To me I feel like he should have already asked me to marry him. People can be engaged for years. I've brought this topic up before to him, and he replies with..."I want to do things the right way." Sorry but we already had a baby....and I don't need a 1ct. diamond engagement ring or a fnacy wedding....and he knows this. I feel like he's just using that as an excuse to stall things. I even told him I'm not going to wait forever. It's just sad when an ex bf come out of nowhere and asks me to marry him, when my own bf won't. What do you think?

The pastor performing our wedding ceremony says that she feels no need to have a rehearsal for our wedding...it's a simple ceremony in our home. She wants the members of the wedding party to just come early so we can show everyone where to stand before taking pictures. Would it be acceptable to invite people to dinner (I'm thinking at Cracker Barrell) the night before our wedding so that we can give them their attendant's gifts? Would it be better to save the money and give them the gifts before (or after) the wedding?
