Where in NJ? South, central or north, east or west. Its a big state with alot of different areas (mountains, beach, farmlands etc) we need to know where about you are looking to have it.

The first thing you should do is set your budget so that you'll know exactly what you're working with. For a small party you can arrange for a private room in a restaurant. I was going to have my wedding at Frelinghuysen Arboretum outside of Morristown. Stunning, stunning gardens, and also some buildings that can be used for a reception. We split up though. Happily married to someone else and got the heck out of Jersey.

A state park or the beach.
Another option would be a B&B near either - - they usually let you use the inside & outside property.
