I'm actually getting married in a few weeks.. everything is set except for our entrance into the reception hall.. anyone have any ideas as to how to make a grand entrance..
an entrance no one will ever forget.. but obviously one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg..

thanx!

This idea was shot down by my fiance but maybe you and your future spouse will like this.
Have the wedding party enter first. Once that is complete, have your dj or emcee annouce the two of you like he or she was announcing a fight card i.e. "let's get ready to rummmmmbbble! He hails from (city, state) and she from (city, state) They met (blank) years ago at (place) now they have just been married!! May I please introduce to you...your bride and groom...Mr and Mrs (Last Name)!!!!" queue Rocky Theme or whatever music you desire. I know it sounds crazy but it could be a lot of fun depending on the type of mood you want to set for the evening.

Wedding Reception Entrance Ideas

well first you should have the mc or dj or whoever announce everyone, and then when you and your new wife (congrats, btw!!!!) come in, everyone should stand up and cheer and applaud. pick a good song to enter to, one that will get the people pumped up. I have seen a really cute one that there were doors on both sides of the reception hall, and the bride and groom entered on one side and while the music played, they went all the way around the dining hall, seeing people they may have missed at the ceremony. it made everyone really pumped up and excited to be there to celebrate with them. Hope I helped. Good luck!

Just have the emcee or dj introduce the wedding party first (as they enter the reception) and then .....drumroll.....and now, here's.....Mr. & Mrs. whoever. All eyes will be on you. You don't need anything else. THis would be more elegant. - to make your first entrance as husband & wife. People just go overboard these days and it's tacky.

Rent a double bike (two seats) and bike in. Carry her piggy back. Have all your attendants enter first and form a line on either side of the door, light sprinklers that you adn the bride can run under.

We are going to have our wedding party introduced first, them when they introduce us, a mariachi band will follow us in.
