This will be your best answer. I was married once before, and told myself, if ever again, do it right. I planned the entire thing, yes, I am a male. I arranged the photography, the cake, the dinner after, the event...all of it. Since it was a destination wedding, we only took ourselves, but had a family ceremony upon our return. Here it is... married, on the beach, in Maui, at sunset with waves crashing just feet away. In the eyes of God so to speak. Wonderful. We left there and went to dinner, restaurant on the beach. So, can you say Hawaiian theme. Now, upon our return home. We had a Hawaiian theme, music, truck load of sand (where we stood) and used my children from the prior marriage. I even took the very sand from under our feet in Maui and sprinkled it over the sand mound for the family ceremony. The luau afterward was fun for everyone. She did wear a semi-formal gown and I was black slacks and a Hawaiian shirt.

strawberries feature heavily, but I would not say they are a theme as such. We are using a lot of red and cream colours, and in the centre of the table we are having an edible display of strawberries dipped in chocolate (see the link below) I'm not featuring a strawberry motif or anything like that. I've asked for strawberries and cream as a dessert though, so we'll see if they listen to me (my fiance and his friend are both chefs and are cooking the wedding meal)

My colors were royal blue, sliver and white. I didn't want stupid flowers, wedding bells, roses or doves as a theme. Instead our reception had a star theme. We used votive holders that had stars cut into them, star wire garland down the center of the tables, stars hung from the ceiling. It was beautiful.
My wedding had an unplanned butterfly theme that came about on it's own. I couldn't decide what dress I wanted, but I had narrowed it down to 3 dresses. My sister picked the one she liked best which happened to have butterflies beaded into it. I wanted my dad to give me away to "Butterfly Kisses." From there I decided to stamp a large butterfly onto the front of my program and use butterfly picks in the floral arragements. It was something that wasn't obvious.
I didn't realize it until later but butterflies are a symbol of change. Very approprate for a wedding as I was going from being a young single woman to someone's wife.

My wedding theme was a garden wedding. It was the most beautiful wedding ever. I got married 6 years ago and I still haven't been to one as beautiful as mine. Guests said it looked like a celebrity wedding. I had a horse and carriage, rose petals, flowers and candles everywhere. My colors were sage green and off white.

The theme of my wedding was love and roses.I used mainly white roses(this is where the white came in along with the tulle and other decorations) with the colors of royal blue (cause my husband looked great in the color) with silver.

we are having ours in an old adobe garden in Monterey CA. Colors are deep red and oranges with touches of green and brown, table numbers are spanish tiles with the number painted on them and we have spanish style candle pedastels that run between the long low banquet table centerpices which are green orchirs, orange princess tulips and coxcomb (celeosia) with moss accents.
Oh yeah and our cake is painted with a spanish tile motif on rolled fondant.

Robin (Bryant) Hood and Maid (Amanda) Marian...celtic style!!! Bryant hood is actually my fiance's nickname from his friends...so naturally i'm maid amanda..... our cake serving set and toasting glasses have robin hood& maid marian on them, so that set the theme for us. and we both have celtic ancestrey, so we're having some celtic traditions as well. our colours are mostly blue white and silver, but there are others as well because i don't want all my bridesmaids to wear the same thing. and the other colours will be the other colours of our handfasting cords.

I think I'm just going to end up doing colors. My colors are burgundy and ivory. I want to incorporate pearls into things too as much as I can.
