Weddings - February 2007

Hi im suppose to be getting married this year, nothings been fully payed for yet only the deposits.
The thing is something is bothering me and i dont know what to to. My parents say they have the money for the wedding but recently i have been feeling guilty of spending all some of there money that they need for other stuff. Its all getting on top me and i was feeling selfish for using the money. So ive decided not to go through with the wedding. All the money we have lost for the deposits we will pay back. But i told my parents this and they werent to happy saying they want me to have the wedding but i cant help feeling guitly about using the money they need and i think i was even selfis for asking to get married. They say they have got the money, but i know its a big chunk out of it and they day the money will go in the end. But i know they wouldnt have a bit longer with money if they werent paying for the wedding. Do you think im in the wrong with this and being silly. Thanks

Hi, does anyone know where I can get PC software to enable me to make my own invitations, i want to make cute/humorous invites and they are expensive to order so I was thinking of making my own, everything im looking for will cost me approx £400 I was hoping to make them myself for less than half that

My daughter is having a hotel wedding here in Scotland this year.I have estimated the bill to be between £6.000 - £7,000. When settling the account would you give the usual 10% tip? For an Informal registry office wedding in the UK, this year (no firm date as yet, but sometime between September and December this year). It's very small, less than 20 guests, no formal wedding gown, no bridesmaids/flower girls etc.

This is not a first marriage, so this time around we just want a relaxed event, to celebrate with our good friends and family.

We are doing the unity candle lighting with our mothers, but I would like to add something else to the ceremony to make it nice without being cheesy. My fiance is against having a soloist, and I don't really want to have anyone read a poem. Any other thoughts on something that would break up the ceremony that would be cool? I have also heard of the rose passing thing, not really interested in that either. Thanks!

I bought my fiancee a Rhinestone wedding ring 6 months ago. The real thing (the one she wanted) at a local Jewelry store cost $3000. The one I bought her sold at a local park and swap for $15 and was labeled a Rhinestone and I didnt have the money. she does not know this and wants to get it appraised on Valentines day. I am having a somewhat formal wedding ceremony,..trying to find a cute little church or so, and im wearing a gorgeous wedding dress, bridesmaids, groomsman, the whole shebang! but i want to have a informal very very fun reception for all the family!! Do you think that this is ok? I want to have a buffet style reception at the american legion here in town. Just want some opinion on this method. i think it should go over pretty well!
