You can download free wedding invitation templates from the Microsoft Office website. The have templates for invitations and rsvp cards at:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/CT101447801033.aspx
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC061191581033.aspx?pid=CT101438241033

The templates will automatically open in Microsoft Word. After it opens you can edit text, clip art, pictures, etc. You can also find suggested wording for your invitations at: http://www.verseit.com

If you have a computer anything is possible. I made my own by getting a picture from one of these websites and pasting it in with words underneath (Wedding Invitation, Evening Invitation etc)

I just used the Adobe program, try the free trial, you just set up the parameters to the card or paper you have.

http://createpdf.adobe.com/?Language=ENU

The insert was simply typed up in plain paper and glued in but only the back at the fold.

You can get the card and paper from anywhere, including Tesco, Hobbycraft, Macro, any stationary shop.

Good luck.

I bought some fancy paper at an art store - Loomis Art Supply, now Deserres - and entered the dimensions into MS Word, printing them off one by one (it was thick paper and an older printer). Buy a rubber stamp and an inkpad in a color that goes with your wedding palette and voilà! Instant invite!

I made my own a few years ago - I scanned a picture from a bridal magazine and had one of the graphic designers at work help me. You may be able to enlist the help of an artistic friend or family member here. Take a look at bridal magazines and websites and you could also talk to you local printer. Good luck.

Southworth. They're the ones that supply the invitation blanks to the office stores. You can do it right from their site or get a CD.

you dont need anything specific, even Microsoft Word with some imagination would do. Other than that something like publisher etc.

spend time on teh fonts and layout and get nice paper & card.
