Champagne is a fairly neutral color, so most colors will look good. Some versions of champagne have more of a yellow undertone, and some more of a brown undertone, so you may have to actually bring the dress in and put them next to each other to see if they compliment each other. I would think deeper pastel hues would look nice for summer, sage green for example. A contrasting sash in champagne would probably be lovely too.

My wedding is in May, and our main color is champagne as well! Our bridesmaids are wearing short (to the knees) black tubetop dresses that dip in the middle of the breasts (I'm a guy, and I'm sure there's a word for it, but trust me, it's elegant and beautiful). The color underneath is a champagne, and the top layer is black with a lace design throughout. We bought the girls dangly black beaded earings, medium length beaded necklaces, and multiple row beaded bracelets. We got cute black satin slippers (like a balarina or something) with a small bow on the front/right side. Let me tell you, it looks absolutely awesome! It's fancy and elegant, yet fun and playful, so it totally works for the time of year.
Good luck with the rest, and remember - try a bunch of things out, and try them all on yourself! That way you'll know how comfortable or uncomfortable your bridesmaids will be! I'm excited for you as you get ready for the big day!
(PS. Are you getting married on July 7th? (07/07/07 is the date) It's the luckiest numbers ever! If not, any wedding day is the best ever!

Well it all depends on what other colors you are wanting to use. If you are wanting to pick the dresses and then figure out color schemes... Then that is another story. You could go with blue or a deep red. A friend of mine wore the prettiest gown last year. It was champagne with deep read accents. The train was edged in red. It was gorgeous. You would be going with patriotic colors. That is what popped into my head first. Congrats!

Maybe find a color of champagne that is a little darker than your bridesmaids or get the same dress as the bridesmaids and have some purple trimmings tacked on. That way she would match but also be different in a subtle way. Also, her bouquet should be a little larger than the others.

Champagne is a warm color so other warm colors would look very nice with it: copper, mocha, burnt orange, dark gold, deep reds (brick, burgundy). You could also go directly across the spectrum to cool colors such as deep blues or purples. Pale colors would wash out against champagne. Stronger colors would make the champagne color stand out. As far as neutrals, black would be very dramatic if you accented it with champagne sashes to lighten the look.

Pink would look nice, or any color that is pastel. If you wanted a darker color, I think a dark burgundy would also really look nice with a champagne colored dress.

If you take a deep couloured gown (anything really- burgundy, aubergine etc) then it will make the bridesmaids feel in value- because thier colours are strong. It will also help to make your own dress stand out with such a dramatically different colour.

Chocolate brown with champagne colored sash, or light pink dresses with brown or champagne accents.

Copper would be beautiful, with champagne accents. The groom could also wear a champagne tuxedo, with a copper cumber bun and groomsmen with copper tuxedos and champagne cumber bun
