It depends on your location and how you want it to be. When my wife and I were married, we had our reception outdoors, at a park. We rented out two of the covered areas, which were next to each other, and the Gazebo which was between those two areas. It felt like we owned the entire park that day. It was cheap too, it only cost about $40 total, and that included the liquor permit and noise permits.
Another tip, I had some of my family members act as DJ for the wedding. I went to Rent-A-Center and rented the biggest stereo system they had. They deliver it and set it up, and they will come pick it up the same day too, as long as you arrange it ahead of time.
It was an awesome time. There was a pinata. We had barbeque brisket and all the fixings. It was basically like a huge family barbeque. If you're looking for something unique and not very costly, this would be an excelent way to go.

how about a winery, spa, beach, or a park depending on your budget you may have to rent a hall or rec center and make it look like paradise. Honestly it shouldn't matter people are coming to celebrate the love that you both have for each other. As long as you have good music, entertainment, food and alcohol the guess will be fine. Keep it simple and stress free and your wedding will be beautiful remember its all about the bride and the groom. Congrats and good luck

Why dont you try the hotels near you they usually have rooms you can use they are called banquet halls but they usually just charge you for the catering and they charge per person or some also do buffets. Think about it and look around. I have looked around and it is really as cheap as renting a hall. so that is something we are looking into it. Good Luck

What about a park. And make it a pot-luck that will help out on the budget. Ask people you know if they could help out by bring a dish that would serve fifteen to twenty people. Or you can do this ask people if they will sponsor you/groom by having someone buy the wedding cake, pitch in for the band or DJ, wedding invitations, champagne, flowers, etc., You pick out your colors and all, but also be reasonable, then those that sponsor you and groom, you make sure you print their name on the invitation as sponsor. Believe it or not there's a lot of people that do that and it help out a lot.

hi, Congratulations on your engagement and wedding ceremony. generally invited travellers fail to RSVP to the marriage invitation, and happen besides. It occurs each and all of the time, even with the actuality that that's undesirable manners. 2 weeks in the previous the marriage, the marriage planner, that's you, has to call the travellers to confirm their plans. then you definately can provide the caterer the final concentrated visitor count quantity. travellers who decline to attend your wedding ceremony and refuse to rejoice your love for any such trivial reason via fact the liquor coverage are no longer probable acquaintances in any respect. In case those human beings deliver alcohol and attempt to crash the reception, have a somebody detailed via fact the bouncer to handle them. i'm hoping existence brings the two one among you lots happiness. My source has quite some innovations approximately making plans an much less high priced wedding ceremony.

Depending on where you are if you dont want to do outdoors try a art gallery, a awesome club in your neighborhood, maybe a small concert hall or an old movie theatre.
There are pleanty of places if you really think about it and usually more affordable to rent casue they dont cater to weddings.

One hundred? Several have beautiful backyards and one will be willing to let you use it. Too many people, however. Becomes a zoo and it is totally unnecessary. Bride to be wants them all and hundreds more, righgt? She needs to be brought back to earth. One hundred people do not care to receive invites and only 20 of them really know either of you or care. Brides think they are on stage and want a huge audience to adore them. Then the morning comes and in a couple of weeks the bills come in. If you are on a budget start out on a budget or the wife will spend, spend, spend.

A dinner cruise. Just go to google and type in "Dinner Cruise" and your state and the word weddings. You will find Circleline like boats that go for about 6 hours and are made to look very elegant inside. To save money maybe make it a lunch cruise.
